What's the status on Hyde? I haven't seen anything yet on his status. Thanks in advance guys!
I have a feeling when healthy, he will remain healthier, as he is going to see less carries.
Not sure why, Hyde almost always leaves the field a few times a game hurt.
I watched games or highlights of RB's from Bama, LSU, MSU, Nebraska and a few others yesterday, those RB's run down hill, see cut back lanes and move piles a few yards on contact. They make people miss with their feet, I have seen none of that form Hyde this year, and last years sans Nebraska, where most of his yardage was close to a 65 yard TD run.
He has potential, he sure needs to wake up and run like a 235 pound RB with speed, not one that leaves the field a lot hurt and goes down a lot on first contact, while lacking field vision to see cut back lanes as well.
Jordan Hall at RB, this teams needs his elusiveness, vision and toughness at RB real bad.

I heard MCL sprain on the post game radio show.
Hyde getting hurt alot reminds me of Beanie Wells who got hurt alot. I remember people talking about how big a bust Beanie was. I hope Hyde starts reminding me of Beanie on the field soon.

Anyone calling Beanie a bust at OSU is crazy IMO... Agree that I would love Hyde to be anything close to him.
It is sprained MCL. Nebraska's Burkhead had roughly same thing and he did not play against UCLA this week.
My guess is depending on the sprain, I would not expect him to play this week.
Dunn and Smith would step up. Boren is also an option, as is Philly Brown, Meyer said.

nothing against hyde but would like to see more of dunn. looks to me to be the better back. would like to see him get 15 carries a game and about 15 less for miller.
Dunn needs to play more. Also, if Rod Smith would ever learn to hold onto the ball, he should play more.
Steve, Is there anyone behind Dunn and Smith? With Hall, Hyde, and Ball all hurt, is their a decent walk-on on the roster? We could be in a little trouble being so thin.
Hyde is not in the same league as Beanie.
That is true enough. Beenie is in the NFL...
A sprained MCL is no joke. I've seen it cause a lot of problems for people, and Hyde has to be able to cut and dig which would irritate it. Now, he is with the best trainers and therapists so I'd imagine he will be ok but I don't see him playing this week and possibly next, depending on the grade of the sprain.
Here's hoping to a speedy recovery for the big guy.
Beanie played his entire soph. season with a bad ankle and a bad wrist and had over 1800 yds. rushing and 18 TDs. Hurt his foot without getting hit his junior year in the first game, missed 3 games and still had 1100 yds and double digit TDs. Missed far less time than Adrian Peterson in college but gets the bad wrap of always being hurt. His pro career he has fought injuries even more, had 1100 yds last year playing all year on a bad knee.
Good days, bad days --- always a Buckeye. Time to begin the assault on the 2014 BCS National Championship
I didnt see it last year, and I havent seen it in a 1 1/2 games this year. Dude has the speed and size, but just doesnt have the IT factor on the field. Unless there is a huge hole he isnt getting any yards. For a big fast guy he goes down pretty easy. With Hall coming back and Dunn looking decent, even when Hyde gets healthy he might not get the PT we all thought he was going to get.
58 of his 82 yds against Miami came after contact so I'm not sure how easy he is going down
hahahaha this comment would be so much better if you knew how to spell Beanie lol
