I think this will have to be one of his best coaching jobs if this team is to go beyond the first round the tourney. It seems that this team is poorly constructed. A bunch of great athletes without significant basketball. ie shooting dribbling. Jordan Siebert was ran off for a bunch of guys who cannot shoot nor drive to the cup. A transition approach would help but Thad lacks the trust in his players to allow that style to flourish.
Sibert was useless. He couldn't shoot or defend. I agree with your main point though. The lack of a shooter outside of Thomas is kikling this team. I wad hoping Ross would fill that role but he looks afraid to shoot outside the lane.
Ross plays virtually no time at all against Michigan and no one cares... He plays a lot against Michigan State, does virtually nothing and people want him to play more? We lost on the road to a very good team, that's all. Calm down people.

prolly because he passes wide open shots to Craft late in the shot clock
Can we sneak Diebler back on the team?
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
Jordan Siebert chose to leave.....he was not ran off but he left because he was no better then the 8th man on this team

He left because Thad Matta ran him off. Don't try to use the, he left because he wanted too BS. You recruit good talent, then don't let them play, then run them off for some other 'better' guy. I'll be happy when he's averaging 10 points a game for my Flyers next year.

First of all, Sibert got minutes during both his freshman and sophomore year, Secondly, I have a hard time believing Matta ran him off when he had 3 open scholarships on the roster. Sibert transferred because he thought that was best for his career, that's all.
