He could start his first eligible season for many teams in the BIG, and some of the teams have some good WR's. He could go to Indiana, Purdue, Maryland etc.. I would like for the conference to get the best players, so wouldn't bother me to see him in the BIG. As long as it's not to scUM...If I was Mich St I would be getting the word out to the kid!!

seems to have a little something going on between the ears!
IU..LSU..ND..transfer and hasn't played a down of CFB yet...
yeah, but i'm sure it would be tough to be a 17 year old kid, parents want you to stay close to home (Indiana), you want to go to LSU, (too far for mama), then you think you can appease both by choosing ND (bigger program than Indiana, but close to home)... Then doesn't sniff playing time, so wants to play, which barring injury to QB in same grade as he is, he won't...
I don't blame the kid, I'm sure he was told he would be the man, Golsen was a bit of a surprise to Kelly, just didn't work out that way. Move along, get 3 years of playing time somewhere. If he'd go to IU or Purdue, he'd get a year to sit out and learn the offense, then battle for start next year. If he goes ahead an makes the move, he'd be able to participate in end of spring ball somewhere next year.
He should have stuck with his original commitment and he wouldn't be in any of this mess...be looked at as a "good hometown kid" who stuck with his home team regardless of their record.... and he'd be playing..
Yeah, hindsight is 20/20...But, now he can be the returning "son" and claim IU is better than ND and he wishes he would have been there the whole time yada yada yada.....
I'd like to see IU get him, they need a boost and their coach could have him putting up some crazy numbers.
I'd like to see him go to IU as well. Transferring from ND was smart, he only has one year of separation from the starting QB.
I miss my Kate Upton Picture
I think he's Tate Forcier part 2. He sounds like he thinks a 5 star rating is a free pass.
After listening to the possibilities, I think Bax is right, Purdue may be his best shot to start at a competitive B1G school.
I think he will end up at Louisville. A much better situation than the team like Perdue or Indiana. Have a good situation with Bridgewater who will probably go to the NFL. Louisville will be in the ACC then, which isn't great but being a better team in the ACC is probably better than being any team not Ohio State in the Big Ten.
From what I read it looks like Purdue and MSU are probably on the list of teams ND would prevent him from going to. They would apparently only block him from teams that they play in the next 4 years.
Kelly told Eric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune - "Kelly said the list of schools Kiel was released to was the result of 'an open discussion' but it did take into account teams that pop up on ND's schedule over the next four years."
