Between 1 of 2 endings to this upcoming season, what would it be...
Lose the National Championship to a better Alabama team and finish 13-1
Beat the shit out of whoever you face in a BCS Bowl and finish ranked #2 at 13-1
C. None of the Above
In the words of the late great Colonel Sanders "I'm too drunk to taste this chicken!"
I'd take a win in a BCS game over a loss in the NC. Even better would be to beat a SEC team in what ever BCS game we would be in and beat the crap out of them. Losing the NC. game to a very good Bama team is no shame, but would still leave a bad taste in my mouth till the next season. Would be nice to go out with a win imo. Either way you could still be ranked #2 in the final poll as long as you played Bama tight.
A. There's always next year. With a chip on your shoulder.
If the goal is to win national championships, then you have to get to the game to achieve that goal. I would rather lose having the chance to win it, than win and never have the chance.

I think the OP is saying this because realistically on paper this bama team should beat this osu team probably 7 out of ten times. With saban's massive oversigning, NFL style salary cap, and the head start on urban by a few years in recruiting they rightfully should be.
However a ncg is not 10 games it's one. And we all seen how a team could won one game.
I would rather won a bcs game than lose a ncg but I always go into a ncg thinking that we can won it.
C. BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF BAMA AND FINISH 14-0, NATIONAL CHAMPS.
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
You get down voted yet?. I ain't gonna do it. just curious
I dream of a day when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.
Nope. Got upvoted. People on here are finally starting to see that we will beat bama come January.
I would never give up the chance to win a NC, even if I was an under dog. You never know what will happen, that is why they play the games. Who would have thought FL would beat the -hit out of OSU in the championship game a decade or so ago?
In the latter, who do we lose to, how and why?

Nothing to see yet. Two-a-days haven't even started yet. Sure, this team could beat Bama or anyone, but there is a long way to go before that happens.
Well myself, I'd rather lose to SCAlaBama in the championship game than lose to anyone on the regular season schedule (ESPECIALLY scUM).
Still, being a realist - both options are pretty awesome!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it (but I've been wrong before)!
If you aint first yo last. Let's be first.
I'd rather play the best... As long as it's respectable and it's a good game... I'm good.
I'll take the second option...if I HAD to pick between the two.

I'd rather lose to Alabama in the NC game, but I don't think they'll make it this year. So, we beat whoever does make it.
