"The only thing That Team Up North will be tasting this year is the salty tears of defeat" - UFM
IMO Jordan Hall is the X-factor in Meyers offense..Let's not forget Hall was highly regarded as one of the leaders of the team last spring..Meyer has great respect for Hall.. He'll offer Meyer's offense with great change of pace at the running back position, and his versatility will be huge. Hall is fully capable of making an impact in the passing game, whether it be out of the backfield or in the slot..Hall understands Meyer offense ..Hall's leadership will prove valuable for the young freshman

Woody and Archie.................................. Alex being Alex, ....................................and Woody at Dennison
Look back and try to think of freshman that made big impacts at OSU. You will find some, but it doesn't happen often. There could be a few in this bunch, but many factors come into play.
Bryant may move down to the star, but he graded out a champion several times last year. So he may not be as easy move as some think.
I fully expect to see guys like Bell, Bosa, Johnson, Mitchell, Apple, Elliot, Clark, Baugh, Wilson and Smith to see the field. Some more than others. But if they are getting it done in practice, I'm sure the staff will want them in the games at some point.
Most if not all the top teams in the country year in and year out start freshmen or at least they play a significant role early and often. It's an inevitable fact of life, especially for Urban. Saban does it(think Cooper and Yeldon), Richt does it(Gurley and Marshall), Sumlin now does it(Manziel), Strong does it(Bridgewater), Shaw, Miles, Spurrier, Carroll did it when he was at SC and Urban at Florida etc. The teams that are winning Natty's and BCS games nowadays have frosh playing significant roles
It's about playing your best players not the most experienced. Experience can get you beat too. I'd rather see a talented frosh get beaten because he made a mistake or misread on a play than an experienced junior/senior get beaten even though he made the correct read/play.

To me I only see Marshall, Wilson, and Clark getting pt on offense but one will likely rs and I expect a couple of the dlinemen to get some pt in the two deep, and maybe Bell or Mitchell makes some starts of an injury or ineffective play happens.
We do this every year and rarely do freshmen start, with maybe only one a year and very rarely from the beginning of the season.
I think Mitchell and Johnson are getting a lot of playing time early. We need some LBs to step up and unless some of the guys that we've recruited the last two years step up, these two will have to fill that role. Mitchell is a true athlete playing LB and Johnson is a student of the game. I think we're in great hands with these two but I think both will be expected to fill some big shoes as the season progresses.
