Although the west bracket is the easiest, it is far from a cakewalk. How many top seeded teams are already done? If we look beyond anyone, we will be done too. Iowa State is talented & beyond that, Arizona has the type of athletes we have had trouble defending in the past. One game @ a time...
Focus on today. It would be cool to see Sean miller and thad face off. Miller took over for matta at Xavier. Protege vs Mentor.
Yes on paper we will have favorable matchups all the way to Atlanta. However some of you underestimate these teams. UofA is legit and extremely well coached. (Remember who he was taught by) If we get by ISU, AZ will not be a cake walk.
Im of the mind frame of Iowa St and Iowa St ONLY until after today. I don't care what ISU did during the regular season they destroyed a decent nd team in the 1st rd and they will not be scared of us.
I hope our boys show up and ball out like they have for the past 9 games. if we do, we are a VERY tough team to beat.
Ill, leave with this. Iona thought they would come in and play a run and gun, get up and down the floor type of offense against us. It backfired on them when our athletes were both athletic and BASKETBALL players at the same time. It was fun to watch. Lets keep it up boys!
I would much rather play Louisville than Wisconsin again. I am not saying Wisconsin is better, I am just saying they know this OSU team too well.
I think a game of Louisville vs OSU would be strength on strength. I really don't think they would turn Craft/Scott over that much. Their steals come mostly off passes, not in one on one defense. I think it would come down to a half court, grind out kind of game and Louisville shoots the ball worse than OSU. OSU has shown they can win games any way you want to play.
