He's definitely NFL bound, Oregon is an awesome gig that would probably be tough to leave. I think he sees himself as an innovator in football and I'm sure would love to see if he can succeed in the NFL. I'm not sure if you can run the QB that much in the NFL but as far as his attitude on 4th down, I could definitely see that being the future of football.
I have a good friend who is an Oregon fan. He doesn't think Chip will be coaching Oregon much longer.
As far as his NFL prospects go, my initial thought was similar to most of yours: that system will never work in the NFL. Then I read this article and was half-convinced. It at least convinced me that it would make sense for a team to give him a shot. There's definite risk of catastrophic failure, but most new NFL coaches fail. If he succeeds with that system in the NFL, the reward would be unbelievable for the team who picked him up.
Did he just not want to coach tampa? What actually happened there? What has changed for him. Is tampa that bad of a job
