CHECK LAST REPLY for UPDATE
That's right, I am in the holiday spirit and I am giving away programs, newspapers and other items I have collected over my 25 years of covering OSU athletics.
This giveaway is for current Bucknuts subscribers and I only have limited supplies of these items (in some cases just 1). I will explain the "rules" in the reply below.
The reason: I want to play Santa ... and I also want to clean out my office so I can walk through it. I think FEMA was here last week and declared it a disaster. There are only so many programs from the 1997 OSU-Indiana game that one man needs, right?
There is NO COST for subscribers. If, once you receive your gift, you want to kick me $2-$3 for postage and/or something else I will donate the money to a local food bank. (Our church feeds kids in the community all summer long.)
You MUST follow the instructions on the reply below. I will send nothing to anybody who submits a request as a reply to this thread.
Here is what I am giving away:

Thank you very much in advance for the consideration.
Dan the mushroom hunter, the deer slayer, and diehard Buckeye fan!
Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. Please read the instructions, or your won't get your gift from Santa. It's just like how to get on the "nice" list, you have to do the things necessary to accomplish getting on the list.
There are other instructions, as well, look again at the first post!
The closest that I will ever get to a Buckeye ring or Gold Pants. Saw it sold on e-bay April 29, 2011 for $8500.
Well, this is the first time I've written a letter to Santa in years!
Overwhelmed by the responses so far. Over 50. There is NO OBLIGATION on your part. After you get your gift in the mail, you can reimburse for postage and/or send a small gift for charity if you like. But otherwise NO CHARGE for these gifts I will be sending out. Believe me, my wife will say whatever we spend on postage it will be money well spent to get rid of extra stuff in my office.
You're a good man, Steve. Merry Christmas!

AGREED! Happy Holidays Steve and thanks again.
“Without winners, there wouldn't even be any civilization.”
Steve, please send me the following:
1. BSB Buckeyes make history, beat Meatchicken twice in one year Dec 2013.
2. BCS Championship Program 2013
3. A copy of your book, Greatest Game Ever Played Part II, Urban Humbles Saban
Lol, I wonder how many mailing lists Jerry's been signed up for by now.
I will get right on all 3 of those requests in January 2014!!
Floored by the response so far ... probably over 60 people have e-mailed. When I get a chance, I will start in on sending stuff out. I will enclose a letter with instructions for anybody who wants to donate money.
Seems like it's easily going to run you 150+ in postage....
Merry Christmas, Steve.
My God continue to bless you and yours.,

UPDATE as of Dec. 27, 11 p.m. -- I have put about half the items in envelopes and will send them Friday. The other half I hope to send on Saturday. Will advise. This has been fun so far.
There will be letters in each envelope for instructions on how to reimburse or donate to our church's Kids Eat Free program.
Thanks to everybody who participated.
Steve, Thank you and I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a great New Year
Put 32 pieces in mail today will try and do some more tomorrow
Update on Sunday. Dec 30 at noon: I put 21 more pieces in mail on sat I have about 40 or 50 more to send if you requested something and don't see something in mail by Thursday assume you are in next group I will not be sending anything else until jan 7 or 8 at earliest please be patient thanks!
Update at 3 p.m. Jan. 10:
OK, I am putting 22 more pieces into the mail today. That leaves about 15 to still send.
I have received contributions from 2 of the previous people we sent stuff to. One of them sent $31.24 (kind of creative, huh). We will make sure that money gets to the church for the Kids Eat Free program.
Here are last names I am still trying to get stuff together for: James, Channels, Penix, Wilcox, Hertenstein, Chavez, Wright, Huwer, Stockdale, Galloway, Davis, Missik, Bush, Spitznogle, Raymond (need mailing address).
Will advise when I can get those last 15 taken care of. PM me if any questions.
I need to report that I just received a gift of $100 in the mail for our church's Kids Eat Free program from one of our gift recipients. My wife Amy and I were floored when we opened the envelope. That makes three donations for a total of $141.24 so far. Really do appreciate it!!
I have 16 people to still send gifts to (listed above plus one more request that just came in yesterday). I will get on those ASAP.
Thanks again and when I have more of an update, I will let you know.
If you can post a list of whatever stuff you have left, Steve, may be worthwhile.
OK, wow, what another amazing day this is!!
The update on Monday is this:
* I mailed out 17 more gifts today. That accounts for just about everybody (about 100 or so) who requested things. I am stuck on only 2 of you, who had all 3 of their top choices unavailable. Those last names were Chavez and Hertenstein. If they could e-mail me at email@example.com I can get them straightened out
* And I went to the PO Box and saw another donation for our church's Kids Eat Free program. Another $100 donation!! Thank you for your generosity. So far 4 people have donated a total of $241.24. This is so awesome! Thanks to everybody who participated.
