Great interview. Nantz at his best.
Regardless of how you feel about Lombardi, Tony Grossi is a total piece of shit.
Grossi's never been one to shy from the truth. His negative facts have been proven true more often than not the past 3-4 years.
I thoroughly enjoy his takes since he went to 850 WKNR.
Lombardi is a good old boys network. Anyone who's worked with the guy in cleveland can't stand him.
I'm more concerned with his talent evalutating! He bashed Heckerts 2012 draft and subsequent picking of Josh Gordon. If Weeden pans out( big if) that is a A draft. Richardson, Shwartz, Hughes, Wynn, Weeden, Gordon. We haven't got that many guys who received a lot of playing time in one draft in a very long time.
Taking Lombardi out of the equation I just find Grossi to be so unprofessional. I'm not a fan of the hire either but the way Tony Grossi conducts himself is embarrassing. If he wasn't a beat reporter it would be one thing, but his job is to present unbiased information about the team. Have you ever seen his twitter feed? He provides no information at all. For example, he asked fans to submit questions he will answer, and then proceeds to pick the dumbest ones and respond with either completely sarcastic or insulting remarks. He reminds me of Hooley, but at least with Hooley he was paid to give his opinion, not "report" information. It was obvious when his tweet about Lerner went public accidentally that he had lost all credibility as a beat reporter. And that is why he was fired.
