Amy Daughters, a columnist with a lot of awards at Bleacher Report, is a big 12 fan. Here ( http://bleacherreport.com/users/297683-amy-daughters ) is her bio page for reference.
This, in my opinion, is a perfect example of why those "1000 featured columnists, and the 6000 contributors" ( http://www.zoominfo.com/#!search/profile/company?companyId=29315863&targetid=profile ) that make up B/R, are not to be taken seriously, yet they are the site most often promoted lately by some (Yahoo included) sports sites.
Here is her list of coaches in a precarious situation:
Mack Brown, Bo Pelini, Brady Hoke, Urban Meyer, Brian Kelly,
Mark Helfrich-Oregon, Lane Kiffin-USC, Mark Richt-Georgia, Will Muschamp-Florida
Below is the OSU/Meyer entry for Urban:

First and foremost, there is no logical way to argue that if Ohio State tanks in 2013 that Urban Meyer will be out the door. But, it’s pretty safe to say that if Urban Meyer doesn’t deliver a double-digit win season and a realistic run at the Big Ten crown and the BCS that rumbling will begin at Ohio State.
Well, first you’ve got the lifting of the postseason ban for next season which means that the Buckeye fans, who sat somewhat patiently and watched their squad get all dressed up with a 12-0 record and then go no place, will be blood-thirsty for some sort of meaningful title.
Secondly, you’ve still got the sneaking feeling that maybe, just maybe, Ohio State wasn’t as good as its perfect record indicated in 2012.
Yes, they won every single game, and nobody can take that away from the Bucks, but boy wasn’t it interesting how it played out?
Ohio State narrowly beat UCF (31-16), Cal (35-28), UAB (29-15) and Michigan State (17-16) early in the season and then after blowing out Nebraska (63-38) continued a string of paper-thin victories.
Indeed, what measure of confidence was gleaned from the 52-49 win over Indiana, the 29-22 OT win over Purdue, the 35-23 victory over Penn State, the 21-14 OT win over Wisconsin and then the turnover-ridden 26-21 victory vs. Michigan?
Though Meyer is a proven winner, he’s precariously positioned as a coach straight off a perfect season that has an awful lot to prove.
Woody and Archie.................................. Alex being Alex, ....................................and Woody at Dennison
I don't think I am overstating it, even though she says rumblings will start in buckeye nation...
heck, there are rumblings ALWAYS in Buckeye Nation...
Her closing line was the icing on this cake:
"Though Meyer is a proven winner,
he’s precariously positioned as a coach straight off a perfect season that has an awful lot to prove"
She drinks way to much!!!
Killing SCUM just to watch it die!!!!....."De Oppresso Libre"
This is someone trying to stir the pot. I do agree that while undefeated, there were a lot of close calls and we as a fanbase have displayed some regret that we were unable to play for the NC, but that hasn't been directed towards UFM. Next year is a little interesting because the expectations are through the roof after having two great recruiting classes and going undefeated. People are on here talking about going 26-0, 39-0, etc. He is expected to lead this team to a title and after going undefeated with a less than perfect team, the expectation moving forward is going to be that much greater when he has his own players.
I am not worried about it, he will be successful, but I do think they will be hard-pressed to win every game next year. It is very difficult to win every game all the time and I do think there will be high levels of disappointment etc when that does not happen. Last year, as the Wisky game was happening people will talking crap about UFM and the playcalling and this was before he even lost so I do think there is some validity to what is being said, but not so much that he would lose his job hahahaha, that part is a joke!
That's my feeling about B/R.
They do the same thing Yahoo does with their news headlines.
They try to get hits.
As long as the hits keep happening, all is good in B/R land.
I've not ready any of the others, but this woman has over 400 articles over there
Edit to add:
I know the internets are all about Hits, but B/R seems to care little about the rationality of their content that follows the headline.
Plus, it's often a proving ground for wannabe writers and it shows in research/grammar/and format.

This board shouldn't link to b/r. All crap. This is how the sausage is made http://www.sfweekly.com/2012-10-03/news/bleacher-report-sports-journalism-internet-espn-news-technology/

Getting frustrated at the search engines being infiltrated with so much B/R stuff each morning. Many sports sites are reposting that stuff so it shows up over and over and over again.
Isn't she the one who posted that "they saw grizzley bears down by Preston's store"?
Her reasoning is contradictory. She says rumblings will begin if Meyer doesn't have 10 wins. Then she says that OSU's 12-0 record is suspect because of all the narrow victories. It is for that very reason OSU fans are probably going to have lower expectations. Had OSU blown out every opponent then the expectations would be through the roof. We are not delusional enough to look back at that 12-0 season as a "perfect" season. Don't get me wrong, the expectations will still be very high - especially after we "blow out" the non-conference schedule..LOL. It is tOSU, after all.

Bleacher Report is to journalism what Steve Bellisari is to quarterbacking.
Nice! ..You drove that point home rather intoxicatingly.
Gessig, love you man, but why would you link to a Bleacher Report story, especially one that you personally think is junk? Bleacher Report is a joke and feeds off of people linking to their bullshit stories.
When have I ever linked B/R for the story as a credible one? :-)
I posted this because I am so frustrated at some of the stuff I have to surf through in the mornings to get to the good stuff, combined with so many sites now referring to that collection of tripe as a source to substantiate their own hometown fluff.
My point was to show just how ridiculous the site's contributions can be... And ....my only reason for linking in he article was to give the link so folks could verify what I was giving my opinion on.
Yikes. I think I missed the target on my intent.
Consider me admonished.
I hear you buddy. Just wanted to point out that Bleacher Report feeds off of people linking back to their stories. So, if you don't like B-R, the best thing to do is completely ignore them, as difficult as that might be.
I make it a practice to never make fun of or to criticize the actions and opinions of brain damaged individuals. However, I do wonder how how up in the air she was when her parents took turns dropping her on her head. Moron does not come close to describing this person.
Those reasons seem legit. Let's start the "fire Meyer" thread right now.
I guess if you want hits on your Bleacher story the smart thing to do is say a 12-0 OSU's head coach is on the hot seat.
It isn't very difficult to ignore Bleacher Report, trust me. I've been doing it for years.
There's not a coach in the country this side of Nick Saban who was better job security than the Urb.
I miss my Kate Upton Picture
Bleacher Report is so dumb it had Bell as one of our top returning linebackers this year. He transferred to Duquesne two years ago.
There is a reason Bleacher Report is free. Their authors can't sell their stuff to anyone else, so they get to post it there for free.
Amy = yawn emoticon...(I'm mobile)
"Your Mouth Keeps Signing Checks that Your Body Can't Cash"
Writer is an idiot.
This is Ohio State. Double digit wins and conference titles are expected by ANY head coach who would come here and not just Meyer.
"The only thing That Team Up North will be tasting this year is the salty tears of defeat" - UFM
Dude, it's bleacher report
what's crazy is that since Turner bought Bleacher Report, CNN is replacing SI as their sports provider with Bleacher Report.
I was at a meeting with the head of digital and the managing editor of a top 5 sports site. We joked about how many pageviews B/R got because people linking to stuff saying how bad it is. Don't feed the troll.
Imagine it's a smelly bathroom and you are a guy running around telling people to come check it out.
Bleacher Report is worthless. They have stiiffened up a litlle bit, but they used to let just about anybody post an article on their site. No journalistic integrity at all. I can't believe that CNN (which owns BR) now links all of their sports traffic to them instead of Sports Illustrated.
