I was laughing at Kentucky losing in the first round of the NIT, and I decided to check out their incoming freshman class.
2 guys with 100 rankings
3 guys with 99 rankings
1 with a 95 ranking
I don't know if Goodwin, Poythress, Noel, or Cauley-Stein are going to go to the NBA, but if 2 or 3 of them stay, Kentucky is going to be absolutely loaded next year. They are to college basketball recruiting what Alabama is to football recruiting.
I'm pretty sure Noel has announced he's leaving;
But that recruiting class is unbelievable it's darn near criminally unfair

The first two guys you mentioned are getting a serious rap for being uncoachable so their departure might actually be addition by subtraction. The best team money can buy was NOT in Lexington this year. Next season may be a different story.
Yeah, that class is disgusting. Crazy that the two top guys are twins and play SG and PG.
Does anyone have good intel on how many UK Freshman will actually not declare and return next season? My guess is just one.
Calipari is easily the best recruiter in college basketball. How a guy can sell elite recruits to play for him after he has caused 2 different programs sanctions is beyond me. I would say that he is even better than Saban, Urban, and Pete Carroll. Those 3 still lose out on recruits. When Calipari shows up at a recruits house, it is game over.

Pfffft, you're insunuating Calipari actually coaches
Different reports say Cauleystein and poythres. Goodwin seems to be gone which I would welcome. Never seemed like he was into the team aspect of the game. Noel is gone. Also a rumor wiltjer will transfer to gonzaga.
Hardware would say so
Do they have enough cap space to sign them though?
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
This is why I hate the one and done rule... The NBA has a D-league, there is no reason these kids shouldn't be allowed to go pro right out of high school and I imagine that's what many of them would do. If you choose to play college ball, you should be able to enter the draft after your junior season if you so choose, just like football. Instead, we have Calipari (whose methods can certainly be questioned) monopolizing high school basketball talent. It's bad for the sport.
I think they should allow them to go directly to NBA and if they don't should stay 4 years.
And this was the Kentucky team that Rex Chapman said deserved to be in the tournament on the selection show, while also stating the BIG is overrated...Hopefully the BIG can prove him and barkley wrong
On E$PN bottom line they said Noel is the only one gone and the 3 other guys are staying! So with those 3 and the class coming in UK should be back to the FF next year and depending on how well the incoming guys gel with the guys coming back they could easily win it all...Unfortunately!
Who's Zead..Zeads dead baby.
