This is from a poster/UM fan at MGoBlog who attended the Pick Central/Marion-Franklin game who is writing about Taco Charlton. Even this UM fan thinks Taco is overrated! (But JC Shurburtt swears Taco is really good in shorts when he doesn't have to actually, you know, tackle, get off blocks, play football, that kind of shit.)
"As far as the "eyeball test," I must admit I was a little disappointed at Taco's lack of aggression. There were moments when a sure passing down approached, and I expected to see that pass-rushing prowess we all read about in 7 on 7's this summer, but I did not see it. The tackle guarding him was very large (some may say "fat," but I don't want to personally attack a kid), and VERY slow, so I was expecting Taco to beat him off the line, lower his shoulder, and destroy the QB. Instead, he relied more on his inside spin more than anything. I will suspect that perhaps, it was because the QB was a very good athlete, Taco was in charge of contain more than anything. Marion-Franklin sent a back to chip Taco's outside pass-rush, as well, which also would limit his opportunities. However, I feel there were times where Taco could have taken over the game but did not. I do not know if it is a motor issue, or the coaches playing him conservatively against a dual threat QB."
It's amazing that national recruiting analysts think they know more about Ohio recruits than the guys at Bucknuts because of what they see at camps/combines when these kids aren't even playing football. What a joke!

I've found pimping to be easier than one might expect
"5 foot 8.....what do they want a basketball team?"
My fiancee's little brother played for Pickerington Central last year and I watched this team live several times including their entire playoff run. I cannot remember one game where he stood out or even made a play. Its always good to see a kid get a scholarship but trust me, his rankings are completely inaccurate.

For any player to "project" to the NFL Draft, they still have to perform on the football field. I have never see a player forgo playing college football, compete in 7-on-7 camps exclusively, and get drafted into the NFL.
And usually players that project to be high NFL draft picks actually start full-time on their high school teams as a junior. Taco Bell Grande was a part-time starter last year! Red flags, anyone?
I hate to bash the KID, because he's just that, a kid ... and might be one hell of a nice kid. This isn't about Taco the kid. This is about absolutely ridiculous rankings. And if you make an error in ranking a player, at least be man enough to admit it. This stubbornness is absurd. "No, I know more than the guys who actually see this kid play football because I saw him once in his drawers and he looked really good! John Cooper knows what I'm saying."
These are the same people that said Kalis would be in the 2 deep as soon as he got there. Last time I checked he was 3rd/4th string on the depth chart at meatchoke'n. I'm ok with them misfiring on these clowns though!!!! Waste those schollies you idiots up north.....LOL

Killing SCUM just to watch it die!!!!....."De Oppresso Libre"
I get that the 247 guy's are obsessed with Taco's measurable's. But, at some point, on the field production has to be a part of the equation.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
Its funny how they highly rank Taco,Morris for UM based on 7 on7 camps. No matter how poorly they do in games,(Taco every game, Morris Ignatius) their rankings don't change. Jalin Marshall lights up quality competition(ST. X) still doesn't get his 5th star back.
And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
They pretty much admitted in my Jalin thread they don't care about on field.
