Its early but this guy is taking the NBA by storm. AND doing it in NYC! Im 100% Cavs but its nice to see the Knicks making things interesting.
Yes, by far. Tebow was a 5* recruit, heisman winner, 1st round pick. Lin had like 2 offers and undrafted and cut by 3+ teams.
Im skeptical, very skeptical until he plays a somewhat decent point guard. Like when he comes here to the Chi, and plays D-Rose, or OKC and Westbrook, Idk thats just me, he is the best player in the NBA right now, but I have to bring into account the lack of competition thus far, if he comes to my city (Chicago) and drops 30 and 10 dimes on D-Rose, then I will give him full props. Just my opinion though.
When everyone runs out...we run in. Support your firemen.
It certainly has given me reason to follow (marginally) the NBA preplayoffs. If he can light up the Heat Im sold!
He's incredible. Don't think I seen anything like it
I dont see him sustaining this level all season. Good story though.
With all due respect Lin can play professionally and even though he may not drop 27 and 10 per night, but a solid 16 and 8 when the other teams watch a little film on him. He can play on a team like this that pick and rolls to death, but not sure if he would fit with EVERY NBA team. He's smart and he gets the dynamics of the pick and rolland thats why hes so successful. He needs to cut down on turnovers but HE will last in the NBA.
Tebow, actually became a fan after watching year of the QB on ESPN. It's just so much more complex in the NFL and violent, I just don't think, well I know he isn't gonna last as a starting QB.
Great story but an Asian grad from Harvard, dominating in NYC at the famed Garden in the NBA trumps Tebow.
Lin makes me turn the NBA on again. The NFL I'd watch Tebow, but I didn't drop everything to do so, like Lin right now.

Lin is Tebow and Rudy combined. lol
LOL... that was pretty good.
Deron Williams, Devon Harris and John wall are not exactly bottom rung talent. I am not sold on Rubio, but he beat him and also the lakers. I am not giving him thr MVP yet but he has been great.
I don't even like the NBA, but Lin is a great story. Kid definitely has game and a ton of heart.
The CHASE is on...
lol People just like the new hero. If Tebow was on tv every week he would still be everybody's favorite. We would all be saying Lin's no Tebow, BUT since Tebow's in "hibernation" in the offseason people forget how captivating and miraculous he can be. Shows how short our memory is
I am amazed by Lin but Tebow's body of work is amazingly advanced compared to Lin's handful of games
Lin will likely have a better NBA career than Tebow will have an NFL career, but he will never match Tebow in terms of popularity unless he also happens to be an evangelical Christian like Tebow. That is why Tebow has the appeal he does. Why else would a Republican candidate want Tebow's endorsement? WTF does Tebow know about jack sh!t besides football?
Lin is more like Tyrone Shoelaces then Tim Tebow.
Linsanity baby! On Mike and Mike this morning they were talking about all time Knick players who had the most 20pt and 5 assist games in a row and Lin is now tied for the most with 6 straight. I'm hoping he get's 7 tonight.
Exactly. Jeremy LIn causes a lot TV sets to be tuned to the NBA--and many of those watching NEVER watch games--even the playoffs. Lots of Linternation Love going on at the Garden--and the Knicks have needed since Patrick Ewing retired!
If Lin played in Utah or Sacremento, this thread wouldn't exist!
I don't know but I am getting tired of hearing about both of them.
Maybe, but I can tell you this. I was out at dinner then a bar on Friday night. 5 days after the Super Bowl. Every conversation I heard about sports was Lin, not Manning or the Giants. This town wants to love the Knicks so bad, but time and time again, they fall short of expectations (even very low ones). This city always has a lot of sports news going on, so it is rare to see somebody take over the back pages like this.
Also, keep in mind, his timing is fantastic. Post Super Bowl, before pitchers and catchers report, no one cares about the NHL, no Winter Olympics....these three weeks and July (post NBA and pre-football) are really slow. Hell, at least July has the Tour de France I think.
Imagine you took a 10 day vacation during this and the first headline you read on espn.com when you get back is "Melo: I don't think my game will interrupt Lin's". I would be so f---ing confused.
