Although the game has been talked about and dissected many times over, I'm still not sure everyone realizes the magnitude of the win against Indiana Tuesday. Lets start with the obvious: we absolutely ruined the biggest night in collegiate hoops in Indiana in over 20 years. Think about it: if IU wins last Tuesday, they (1) clinch an outright big ten title. (2) essentially guarantee themselves a #1 seed for the NCAA tourney. (3) essentially guaranteed to play their first four games of the NCAA tourney in Dayton and Indianapolis. Now, with a loss at Michigan on Sunday, Indiana's postseason path is anyone's guess... But back to OSU... We were an 8 1/2 point underdog going into Assembly Hall, staring an almost insurmountable task in the face, given absolutely no chance of winning from anyone (including myself), but yet came out of that game with a completely new outlook on the season, solidifying Thad Matta's place as an elite coach, all the while giving ourselves a realistic chance of winning our 4th consecutive big ten title... Can you believe that? From what we've been thru so far this season, I can't... But one thing I will never do again is doubt That Matta... His record speaks for itself... His big ten resume speaks for itself... And no matter what happens the rest of the way, I sure am glad Thad Matta is our coach.

I like that we can pull out games with Deshaun struggling.
Aaron Craft haters looking really dumb and Sam/SS/Rav stepping up. We could be a real contender if Amir wakes up.
It proves that this team can beat anybody in the country if they play at that level. If they can beat Indiana convincingly on their home floor on their senior night, they can take anybody. This removes any doubts these players may have had about what they can accomplish.
It also looks like there is a very good chance we will play our first two rounds in Dayton now. This is based on linardi's bracket update. That would be huge!
This just shows, as we all know, defense still wins championships....if we can continue to play D at that level...sky is the limit.
That would be the closest thing to a cakewalk draw the Buckeyes have ever had if that turns out to be our bracket. The only teams that give me pause for concern are Florida and Gonzaga but they both played in awful conferences. Indiana and Kansas's regions though...yikes.
I've said all along that if Slammin SamThompson gets a dunk that we win the game. The dunk he had was early in the first half and it set the tone. The guy is a highlight reel every time he is on the floor. Two years from now could be very special.
