I had someone tell me Jones is the next Isiah Thomas. Have you seen him? What do you think of him? Worthy of THAT level of hype?
So they are still very much a a package deal . . .
Duke will be hard to beat here but you never know
My story on him from last month:

I have not seen him. I do know that Gary Trent's son is a freshman on Jones' team, and that Trent and primary recruiter Jeff Boals are very close. Can't hurt to have the local NBA legend siding with the good guys.
As a package deal, are they likely to follow the path of Oden/Conley and be one-and-done? Haven't seen much written about either of them staying just one year. Would this favor Kentucky? Or OSU?
McCague, Point is the most difficult position to play at any level of bball. 1. He is responsible for the offense, not just his own performance. 2. He is the initial defender; if he allows dribble penetration, the defense is dead. 3 He is smaller than the other new players, so maturity and strength are heightened issues. My guess is far fewer points are one-and-done to the NBA than any position. No one, and I mean NO ONE, expected Conley to be one-and-done at OSU. Late in the NCAA his father told him there were inquiries and he thought it was a joke. Oden, of course, was one-and-done before he committed.
Still, reality and perception may differ. Jones may think he is one-and-done; sometimes that is enough for an exit, right or wrong.
Rule of thumb, anything one-and-done favors KY. Cal has captured the imagination of young players in a hurry to go to the NBA.
That's interesting. Boals got to be on this. A lot of people have said Thad can't get the big catch since John Groce left for Ohio and now at Illinois. Groce was the closer on the recruiting front. I think he is doing a fine job on the recruiting front. Is Gary Trent a player to watch in the near future?

From everything I've read it's a Duke-OSU battle with I believe MSU running 3rd. If it wasn't for this package deal thing I think Okafor would be a done deal to OSU. He loves the coaches and is a big fan of Sully. Jones is enamored with Coach K. Honestly, I think it is going to come down to whether or not Okafor can part with his best friend. I just don't see Jones going anywhere but Duke. Especially now that we got Russell who wants to run the point.
