I was looking over on the Penn State Forum and found several post about the loss being "due to the Refs!"
Folks, and I say this mostly to the younger people on Bucknuts that may read this...learn one thing in Life....when you get your butt kicked and dominated by someone or some team...just be honest and say''"we got our butts kicked by a better team". Period!
Actually it was more of a dominance by the Buckeye OL and DL all night. The 36 net yards of rushing offense is an embarassment to a Nittnay Lion team, and those down thru this long historic trend of great PSU teams in the past. A total embarassment.
I sympathize wiht the new PSU coach and what he inherited....not a pretty picture..but if you had read the forums prior to this game, those fans over in Happy Valley had built this team into a Big 10 dominant team, McGoin into a Heisman canditate, and O'Brien as "the best coach and coaching staff in college football"!
If any one of those rabid PSU fans had gone back and looked at what had happened to the past foes of PSU, they would have had a clue to last nights "fanny kicking at Crappy Valley".....the Virginai team that beat them 17-16 had lost 6 straight ball games.. Ohio who soundly beat them(24-14) to start the season could not get past Miami, a team that these Buckeyes beat 56-10,...Navy and Tulane hardly world beaters wiht .500 records and 3 wins aganist pretty much mid to- bottom feeders in the B10 race.
I do say one thing in sympathy for those fans of Penn State..after what happened to their school, maybe that's all they had to cheer about in 2012....it was a sad takedown of a proud program. That program will have 3-4 more years of bowl bans to try and over recurit for...that will not be an easy task.......maybe this loss will help some of thsoe fans to still hope for the future but renmove the "all-world" Blue and White glasses as they finish the 2012 season!
I agree ...I agree with most psu fans tho obrien is doing a he'll of a.job.
He's doing a hell of a job against Northwestern and Iowa. He isn't doing a hell of a job against a team with a pulse.
It is typical Penn State to whine and blame somebody or something else for their shortcomings. It is always about, "the refs were paid off", or," the other team is a bunch of cheaters", or," we recruit student athletes and they just recruit dumb jocks". You are right, just man up and admit you got beat by a better team. One or two posters on their forum will admit this, but most are crying about one-sided officiating when Speilman said clearly that the bad calls were on both sides.
