Some people may not find this as interesting as myself, however I am very intrigued. Most of us remember a week or so ago when highly regarded OSU linebacker target Raekwon McMillan tweeted something about being happy for getting a 20 on his ACT then other OSU linebacker target Kyle Berger tweeting a little bit later something like "a 20 on the ACT is nothing to brag about". McMillan tweeted back insinuating that Berger was tweeting about him, Berger claimed he wasn't and it seemed to be squashed. (I can't remember their exact wordings, but there was a small piece in I think a boarding house on here about it).
Welllll, I just noticed on twitter that McMillan Retweeted this. "Scout has Kyle Berger rank higher than Raekwon McMillan #Dead". For those of you that do not know what a Retweet is; a retweet is when one user re posts another users post so that his followers can see it as well. Berger follows McMillan, so he will see this.
Now, maybe there is nothing to this and that the players don't care. However, I get the feeling that there might possibly be some tension between the two.
What do you all think about this? Is it nothing? Am I just too bored on spring break?
I think this thread won't go well...
You're thinking way too in it. Everybody retweets something that they're mentioned in especially when it's light weight a compliment in his perspective
Yea I kinda cringed when I read this on twitter. McMillan knew that berger was talking shit about him when when he made fun of his act score even tho berger denied it. I think McMillan was pretty offended even tho they seemed to squashed and this was just kinda a shot back at him. They don't seem to get along for whatever reason, kinda sucks cause we really need them both but who knows hopefully this will be the last we hear about them going back and forth
"5 foot 8.....what do they want a basketball team?"
I figured I may be thinking too much into it. But thanks for the downvote from whoever!! I think if you're gonna downvote me for this topic you take things a little bit more serious than I may have taken these tweets. Is it not right to post on something similar to an article wrote on here by one of the staff? Sorry.
It's called talking ish with your boys. The fact that they are tweeting back and forth bodes well for us in my opinion.
"Ohhhh, man I wish I could go back in time. I'd take state."
I literally laughed as hard as any other time in years when I read this post.
Maybe Berger will visit April 1st as well and we can get a little cage match action.
No disqualification match or ladder match perhaps.
So they don't like each other. No big deal.
I don't think Berger would want to do that.
I think this is an excellent thread. I was thinking the same thing since that boarding house touched on this issue. Don't kid yourself, McMillan isn't happy about the snub and neither would I be. I'm sure Berger is a nice young man and all, but if you're going to mock other very high-profile national recruits on Twitter, that's a major dick move. It's just so totally unnecessary. I, too, think this is still going on and could have a real affect on landing both prospects. Just can't imagine why bothering to take a dig at someone 800 miles away that you don't know.
You brought up some good points. I even changed my mind on it. Maybe Meyer should pass on Berger. If he is being a dick to another player 800+ miles away and without knowing him, how will he act in a locker room?
+1. would get worked.
Anyone think Berger is a LB with an attitude that he is the best at the position and will make it a point to let others know when they are behind him in testing, in rankings, in anything. Maybe a way to push each other 18 months before they take the field together.
I love competition. Just ask my sons.
Running your mouth is one thing, backing it up another.
I take Kwon in that matchup.
I don't think twitter is going to affect how Urban recruits anyone well unless they post a picture of them breaking the law.
Hating scUM since 1964
Worth looking into. Like to see Berger checked out a little closer. How was he with teamates, classmates, girlfriends etc.I say put him under the microscope. He might be a better fit as a Domer or Meechigan Man.
