Anyone else a little nervous about the sheer volume of big time recruits coming in for the scUM game? The staff is going to be hard pressed to spend time with every big time recruit on campus. No doubt will the current commits be working hard and the atmosphere be electric, just nervous with so many big time kids coming in that the staff will be spread too thin.
Just some food for thought.

As long as the staff spends a lot of time with the LB recruits ... especially MLB, I see no problem.
Not nervous at all. A big time recruiting tool to get them to a game, esp this one. Hoping for 60's that day or even 70's. Lol
It's actually commonly used sales tool and one of my favorites. That is what recruiting really is, sales. Let clients(commits) get involved with other potenial clients(this year and next recruits) and let them brag about what were doing for them(cue Mick Marotti indvidual plans for bodies) and let them see me at my best(The Game). Then when I get my time as the closer(Urban), get them alone for a few minutes and say I've got a grand plan for you. Lay it out for them and their families and coaches. Then go for the jugular. In this case it woud be, Can you imagine yourself in this environment? Do you believe in what were doing here? Do you trust im going to get every ounce of talent out of you? Do you want a top notch education with one of the largest alumni bases in the world. We think you can help us, and were going to help you reach your ultimate goal. Let's get this done. If they say I need to give us the dreaded, "I need to think it about," well good news on the bowl ban, we are going to be able to beat down the doors closing on this class before the All American games and getting those relationships closer for 2014. For the caliber of recruits we are going after, the schools they are interested are all going to be playing in bowls. Think how strong we closed last year and he had no relationships with those kids.
With this many recruits, we need a win.
Definitely. We need to win.
But on top of that, I think it's a good thing to have a TON of recruits there. Even if we can't spend as much time with each one, having so many there creates an atmosphere. When they go to a game and see a ton of kids they've seen a elite summer events, they might think about how dominant Ohio State could be if even some of them commit. I think they feed off of each other, and it can begin to create the environment that Ohio State is THE place to be. Just think about all that talent you saw on your visit who also wanted to check it out. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives of limited face-to-face time with coaches.
Under Cooper and Tressel, OSU didn't do very well landing recruits that were in on official visits for The Game or other big games. Meyer is a different type of recruiter, so I hope he can reverse that trend.
