ESPN 150 DB Vonn Bell excited about #Tennessee #Volunteers under Butch Jones http://es.pn/UBGhoH

ESPN 150 DB Vonn Bell opened up tonight more than I have heard him do throughout the 2013 recruiting cycle.
does this move us down to 3rd now? I guess we can write him off for good? What is Tennessee selling him on, a .500 record?
north till ya smell it, west till ya step in it.
UT was his childhood favorite and he could start for UT yesterday...
I do understand him wanting to go beacuse they have always been a childhood favorite. That is huge, I don't understand the could start for UT as a freshman vs OSU as a sophmore. Their is no comparison to direction of the 2 programs. I know I am a little bias :) Either way I wish the youngman well and a healthy career. Would prefer to see him in S&G but doesn't look good
Well when I was a kid I used to love peanut butter sandwiches, but I grew out of it. Hopefully Bell sees that he should grow out of tennecheat and just be a buckeye that wins championships.
I understand Tennessee was his childhood favorite, but why was he not showing them the love he was showing Alabama and Ohio State? Were they his childhood favorites too? They were the teams getting all the love. Why the sudden love interest? If my childhood favorite was a .500 team and I was offered a scholarship to play there, I'm not even thinking about Alabama or any other school. Just don't get it. And no, I don't think anything fishy is going on here either...like an S$C cash money offer.
From reading articles in the local Nashville newspaper recently, he has really always shown them love when you consider that under Fooley's leadership, UT never went to his school to meet with him or his coach. They never sent him a questionairre to fill out. Basically UT never showed him any love until Butch Jones got there and Bell STILL kept them in his top 3 with Bama and OSU. I believe he has always wanted to go there and all UT had to do was show him some interest and he was in. Doubt that he holds UT responsible for Fooley not recruiting him properly. If an Ohio kid always wanted to play for OSU and when it came time for him to play college ball, would we question him for signing with us if we were coming off a few years of 6-6 or 7-5? We would call that loyalty and say this kid has always dreamed of playing for us. That he wants to be the player that brings us back to glory. If Bell chooses to do that at UT, then he should be given the same respect, and not be implied to be settling for mediocrity.
How dare you question the logic of Buckeye fans
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
Hopefully he doesn't let his emotions get the best of him and chooses UTjr. They have a minimum of 2 years rebuilding and trying to break .500. Those 2 years could be competing for a national championship at Ohio State along with 2 more after that. There is no guarantee that Butch JOnes will be successful there either. It is more or less guaranteed Urban will be successful here.
No SEC East team is going to compete with the SEC West's oversigning on a regular basis. Teams like Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee might put together a championship potential team every once in awhile, but when Alabama, LSU, and A&M are signing 30 recruits every year, you just can't compete consistently. Those teams reload, while the SEC East rebuilds. There's a reason why Urban Meyer's Florida teams are the only SEC East teams to win a championship during the SEC's current streak. They just had a couple incredible classes come through at the right time.

Let's just say that the Twitter feed is greatly exaggerating things.
Sorry for getting everyone worked up.
His parents won't have to move as they said they would do if he went away and they are the childhood favorite, maybe that is more important than competing for titles to him. Good luck to him, glad we don't have to face him.
Yes, let's just wish him good luck and move on. He has a right to go wherever he chooses!
Wish him the best, even if he decides to wear orange hunting attire for the next 3/4/5 years.
