I'll probably take a hit or two for this soapbox. Perhaps deservedly so.
Glass houses and all, but it struck me that with the honor of having Mr. Elliott visit the forum tonight, it's a good jolt for us all to realize he's not the only parent, sibling, wife, grandparent etc. to walk among the threads here.
I'm not innocent for some things I post, and I'm realizing that we represent Buckeye Nation to many of these family members who are visiting here just because it's the number one site for Buckeye news.
It's our decision to represent accordingly.

Cleveland Orchestra Baby!! World's greatest!! The Brown's wet dream is to be them. The Ohio State University-Where the Illibuck Lives!

My thoughts 100%, thanks for posting.
Elliot will be a Buckeye on February 6th in my opinion, some posters need to relax a little bit and be respectful. I believe both of his parents went to Mizzou and it's his home state school... simply put, it's a visit. Elliot will be a great player at Ohio State... just be patient as the recruiting process finishes up.
+1 gessig. Like I said in the other thread, EZE and his family have been class acts the whole time. We need/want kids who want to be here and that will carry themselves well, on and off the field and from what I can see, EZE does that. He would/will be a great addition when he joins the BUCKEYE family. But that being said they deserve the same respect as they have shown. I will always be hurt if we do not get every 4-5 star kid that we want but we need to remember that they are 17-18 kids about to decide the toughest thing they have ever had to do and we do not know everything that goes on behind the scenes. I personaly can't wait to here his Dad tell there side, I just hope it's all good
I completely agree. I always shake my head when some idiot insults kids and their families for not doing what the (said idiot) wants. When a recruit and/or their parent wants to explore a school other than OSU they are a sell out, but when OSU is advantaged they're being smart. As an avid Buckeye fan the hypocrisy and blatant selfish disregard for others is nauseating.
I know you guys think I am one of the goofiest dudes on here but I am that way for a reason. I don't post about football most of the time because of the diversity of the following on BN, hence you never know who is watching. Yet I love being around you guys. That said, great thought Gessig.
I dream of a day when chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.
Many of the "fans" upset and taking shots at Elliott are the same ones that endorse Meyer & company going after other teams verbals...
Thanks for this post. I was terribly disappointed in some of the posts from idiots concerning Elliot visiting Missouri.
