The only way I get to a football game is if I promise my wife a trip to Bettys in the short north...
Bono Pizza in Grandview.
I'd rather eat at D-Hall. Is D-Hall still open?
How have I made it through all these posts with no mention of El Vaquero?
I've yet to find Mexican food in Phoenix I like a well as that place.
You can't handle the truth
A couple of "holes in the wall", but great food:
Mexian: Senior Antonios....up on Rt 23 in the shopping center with Wal-Marts just above Polaris and Rt23. Clean, great atmosphere..great prices!
Chinese: Panda House...in the same shopping center area off Polaris Blvd, behind KFC.
just past Old State Rd and Polaris. Great chinese food, prices, clean as a whistle,,,
They've been slipping the last few years to be honest. Service, food and Margaritas are not what they were 10 years ago imo. Rancho Alegre is my new go to Mexican joint.
I agree a bit - they aren't what they used to be. I won't eat at the one in Gahanna. Have to go to the one on 33.
Cant believe no one has mentioned Roosters. Puts Bdubs to shame. Roosters wings are actually big. Carsonie's has good pizza and probably the best stromboli. LaScala is good italian.
I don't know.. I'm partial to Sarafinos in North Market.
Which Hyde Park location is best? I know Cap gets most business, but I've read people go there to be seen. (Taking wife there for birthday on Sat night).

I eat out a lot around C-bus both for lunch and dinner. I am most familiar with the north and northwest loop (Polaris to Hilliard). As a geberal rule of thumb, you will not go wrong with any Cameron Mitchell restaurant (many listed above).
As a side note, The Columbus Fish Market and Mitchell's Steakhouse used to be owned by Cameron Mitchell. He sold both in 2009. While both are still good, they have fallen off a little, IMO. They are both owned by Ruths Chris now. While Mitchells would be an A+ steakhouse in most cities, I consider it only average for Cbus which is loaded with a lot of fantastic options for steaks.
In the last week I've eaten at Marcella's, Cap City Diner, Fisherman's Wharf, Eddie Merlots, Salvadore's Bistro, Little Palace, and Vittorio, so if you have specific questions shoot me a PM. I could probably write my own restaurant guide for Cbus (I eat out that much). I would also be welled served to actually use the fitness equipment at my country club. :)

Lindy's and Barcelona are great.
Great thread, but I'm surprised you miss BWW, Donatos, and Bob Evans. To each his own I guess. Here are my favs:
Pizza: Hound Dogs; Mikey's Late Night Slice
Chinese: Moy's; Pho Asian Noodle House Grill
Indian Aab in Grandview
Diner: (so many) DK Diner and Nancy's Home Cooking
Burger: Graffiti Burger (Thurmans' line is too long)
Bar: Barley's and Tip Top
Greek: Lavash and Yanni's
Mexican: Honestly, the choices for Mexican aren't great but Cuco's is my fav here
Barbecue: Ray Ray's; Montgomery Inn (I'm from Cincy so love that place)
Other: Dirty Frank's; Schmidt's (for their cream puffs); Jeni's; and Kaztinger's
My wife and I moved to Columbus 2 years ago from Dallas to plant a church in Clintonville. We absolutely love it here! The food choices have been better than we could have hoped. Also, my wife is a native Floridian and now a converted hard core Bucknut! Go Buckeyes!
