I just learned a daughter of an old friend of mine was killed along with two other girls in an automobile accident near Bellbrook early this morning. The girls were only 14, 16, and 17. I cannot imagine the devastation the parents of these children must be experiencing. Nor can I imagine what I could possibly say to my friend when I see him next. So, I do what I do in times like these, I pray. Please join me and pray for them and the entire community as they navigate this difficult time. And while you are at it, if you have children, hug them and tell them that you love them.
Students, friends and family filled the courtyard in front of Bellbrook High School during a vigil Sunday to remember the young lives lost earlier that day.

Saying a prayer. I have a 16 year old and couldn't imagine this happening. Feel terrible for all the family/friends.
very sorry for your loss, the death of a child never heals, help your old friend as much as possible.

Bless their families and friends and may they find peace. The young girls are safe in His arms.
I've driven down this road many times... just heartbreaking.
Also, one of the girls...Sophie Kerrigan was the daughter of Steve Kerrigan. If you live in the Dayton area, he was a DJ for several radio stations. I listened to Kerrigan & Christopher on WTUE every morning for many years.
Just so sad for the families.

Wow! I didn't realize that was Steve's daughter. I used to do a little radio with him back in the early 2000s when they had the sports talk show at Roosters. Absolutely tragic.
I saw this last night on the local Dayton news. This is so terrible to lose young lives in the blink of an eye.. Prayers gone out to those families.. Just terrible. God bless..
_ichigan Football would be Minnesota without The Great State of Ohio!! O-H! I-O!
