I have a coin collection from the early 1900's through current and a golf ball collection of courses around the world--all new about 1,100 in all. Places I have traveled and or played at. 99% of the collection is US and European courses although a couple of unique from Japan, Taiwan and so on. I would like to get some from South Africa and South America but will have to travel there before I add them to the collection.
north till ya smell it, west till ya step in it.
Sneakers... Pretty much exclusively Air Jordans and Nikes. I actually wear my kicks unlike some collectors.
Just got a pair of AJ V's in the mail today.
The CHASE is on...
I collect coins and precious metals. Buying some monthly or annually will gain value almost for sure. Silver and gold have consistently gained year to year at a much higher rate than any bank account.
My favorite recently is graded silver eagles and silver bars of various types. Also silver proof sets and mint sets.
Mostly put it in boxes in my safe for my grand kids.
Also have quite a gun and rifle collection as they grow in value too. And, you can shoot the shit out of scUM fans if you really need to!!
Back in the '60's and '70's, I started collecting fishing antiques which was lots of fun. Then, while working and living in Hollywood/Las Vegas and working as a cue card guy and production manager, I acquired autographs and pics with everyone I worked with which I listed months ago on a similar post. Then while looking for hard to find Star Wars toys for my sons, I became a toy collector and still buy limited editions and variants which are worth more money than the others. Finally, I have recently become an investor in precious metals including Gold, Silver and a little Platinum. I also have quite a collection of media passes from my work in sports and news, including 7 White House press passes. My favorite items are an authentic Block O astronaut patch from my friend, Col. Ted Hendricks, the commander of Shuttle mission STS-70 in which the entire crew of 5 were Ohioans and a football signed by Gayle Sayers and "Mr. Sweetness" himself, Walter Payton. For me, collecting is a lot of fun and a great way to kill time.
I try to collect fine glass, but i keep breaking them.
Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
I don't really purposefully collect anything. Maybe photographs of all the shit I've seen and done? I've been to over 60 different countries across the world. We do a lot of day trips for hiking in various portions of the Rockies. Been to all the oceans of the world except one. Got pictures of it all. My wife scrapbooks so I buy her these really cool frames and she fills them with photos of stuff and hangs them on the walls. Our house is full of pictures of various sizes depicting all the places I have been or the family went to. Cool stuff.
