This and the Note are the best phones on the market right now. The Note 2 is coming out soon.
I have the Note and my wife has the S3.
Love it .... I find it really funny that every where I went looking at phones that everyone pushed the S III and not the i phone . Heck I went to get an iPhone and left with the Galaxy III.
The phone is awesome ! You won't regret it I gave up my EVO and i'm glad I did ..
Android fan here. I currently have an HTC Evo but am looking hard at the galaxy S 3.
PS4 initial Metacritic scores: Killzone: SF (74), Knack (59).
Greatness awaits?? Please.
Info on the Note 2. It does look like a beast with 2gb of ram plus a quad core processor. The S3 had a quad core but I believe it was only available in the international version and not in the versions that US retailers provided. Plus a huuuuuuuuge screen for a phone and a good sized battery.
Galaxy Note II marks the U.S. debut of Samsung’s Exynos™ 1.6 GHz quad-core processor optimized for LTE networks. It has 2GB of internal RAM; and comes with 16GB of onboard file storage and supports up to 64GB of additional memory with a microSD® card.

Thanks guys looks like I will be trading in my iphone 4s for the galaxy 3
Awesome phone. Does more than I could ever figure out.
Still not catching the ever-contagious WHINE-FLU!!!
Both the iPhone 5 & S3 are great phones.. Here is a review of both via cnet...
Don't think you could go wrong either way..

I have the galaxy s 2 and it's amazing. I'll let this one go a while longer but I'll never but an iPhone. My best friend hard an I phone and he's always jealous of mine.
Can anybody provide some me detail in regards to the S3. If I have a Mac computer and use iTunes can I put all my music on the Galaxy? Same with movies and podcasts. Can I transfer those from iTunes as well? I appreciate any responses. I'm getting ready to upgrade and have had an iPhone but all I hear is great things about the Galaxy!
I'm intrigued... S3 owners, sell me. What makes it so great ? One huge negative for all android phones is that all OS upgrades are controlled by your cell provider, unless you want to root your phone and install custom rom's, blah. Cell carriers already have too much control by locking you into a contract, I hate that Verizon or AT&T dictate to me when I can and can't update the Operating System. With that in mind, what makes the S3 that much better than other smartphones ? What are the killer features ?
I just got a s3 two weeks ago, I love it, my first smart phone.
Ability to customize
Support of memory cards
The S3 was more than a year ahead of the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 closes the gap but is still behind.
I don't understand when you say they "dictate to me when I can and can't update the Operating System". You can only update when they are avalible just like the iphone, right?
Best thing about Android? Rooting.
Love it... It has had a few quirks but the new os update fixed them. I had the droid x before this and the GS3 really takes it to another level. It is fast and the features on it make for an amzing experience. It really is an amazing phone
