Jalin Marshall with right around 100 yards rushing in the first quarter against darn good St. X of Cincy, in just 6 or so touches.
Yes, the 247 guys really nailed Marshall dropping him down from a flag football camp in Oregon.
All Marshall does is put up huge numbers against elite football programs like St. X most weekends.
When everyone runs out...we run in. Support your firemen.
Just read a tweet, Marshall has 9 carries for 164 yards and 2 TD's against mighty St. X, and there is 5 minutes to go in the first half.
Yep, Schurburtt nailed this one with his Oregon camp post analysis, maybe someone can tell him football is played in pads, between the hashes and that is what seperates the cream of the crop and the men from the pads, not flag football camps.
St. X is an elite program and a D1 football machine, Marshall is dominating so far.
My problem qith the downgrade is the inconsistency is the ranking criteria....it seems like some people they rate on potential at a future position at the next level....some on how polished they are now....and some on how they will be drafted in the nfl....what the hell does being drafted have to do with being a great college player there are many great college players that dont translate well to the pros.
I've complained til I was blue in the face about too much emphasis on camps. Marshall is a 5 star. Period.
Reading that the Middies are totally outmatched outside of Jalin. Saying he is basically keeping them in it all by himself. No OL, defense, anything. All him.
Can't wait until this kid is in Scarlet and Grey. Sounds like he could play for us September 1 if we needed him to!
Game is on ESPNU, it was a shoulder injury. Not sure if serious, maybe a stinger, but he went to the hospital at half with is dad. Was on his way to a huge game before that injury.
