I know that OSU is simply restoring the cement surfaces in the stadium; but does anyone have an update on the progress that is being made with this project? It will be cool to see some pictures or just have a general update. Thanks
I want to know when they are putting in permanent lights.... I mean come on even the big out house up north has them
I want Shoe expanded to largest in nation at 115,000. Lower field more and add a "student bleacher section right behind the opposing bench. Let students camp out for first come first serve. Install water pumps if below water line, and get rid of all the dead space still between sidelines and the stadium. Now you have loudest, rowdiest, and the greatest stadium!! ( and the largest in USA!)
They can not go any lower and they already have pumps below the field because of the Olentangy River. They only way they can go is up.
I wonder if they could all a deck in a forward manner on the top of cdeck?
Not true. I am an engineer living in New York. Numerous building all over Manhattan are built way below Hudson and East river water lines with modern pumping systems that work quite well. New Orleans, Venice and a host of other cities around the works employ the same technology. If we need to ( and i think we definitely should lower the field at The Horseshoe,, we easily COULD.
There really isn't that much lower they can go without having to shrink the size of the field...
Right, Tress. They already removed the track. They could remove the sideline benches, I suppose. Jk
I miss my Kate Upton Picture
A couple years ago, they talked about adding another 10-12 rows up on c deck but the project was nixed.
Good grief could you imagine C Deck any higher? It's like sitting on the side of building looking straight down as it is.
I thought they were putting a new sound system in this off-season?
From the look of things, the aluminum bench seats are being removed from A-deck in the closed end.
"5 foot 8.....what do they want a basketball team?"
Hopefully they put in a roosters and more comfortable seats
Brady Hoke is one meatball sub away from being the poster child for obesity.
Could make for some really interesting, and albeit scary Ramp Intrances for TBDBITL...
"Your Mouth Keeps Signing Checks that Your Body Can't Cash"
You can actually see the guy flying the blimp if you sit high enough in C deck...
Til we get back to selling out ALL GAMES and there is a waiting list to buy tickets, doubt if there is any long range plan to expand. I wouldn't want an ugly stadium like PSU or suUM.
Any word on that retractable dome?
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
From the look of things, they're working at night to remove the seats. (Good Friday...11:30pm)
