not an SEC team.. lol or Oregon for that fact..
Too logical, too obvious, too simple, therefore unacceptable to this board...
I am only expressing concern that this kind of overnight recruiting success in the SEC West has happened before and we now know it wasn't on the up and up. Daniel is the player that is drawing the most questions, apparently for good reason.
Schools like Clemson and FSU hired new coaching staffs that have brought them back or to unprecedented levels of recruiting success. TAMU is doing the same.
As for Nkemdiche wanting to play with his brother, that was a late consideration. Early it was a teammate and Clemson offered both to coax a verbal. Moreover, he hasn't committed there yet.

Have you ever expressed concern that maybe tOSU has ever cheated in recruiting at any point throughout history?
Are you saying it is OK for the SEC to cheat now because OSU cheated sometime during its long history?
Yes, the recruitment of Pryor. I was uncomfortable with his 'mentor', not Charlie Batch, the guy from his hometown. But I am a fan on an OSU message board sharing an opinion, it would be dumb to expect anything on here to be perfectly objective. We all have fairly obvious loyalties.
However, my point is not about Ole Miss, OSU, or anyone else. My point is that the SEC West is a virtual football arms race and TAMU's appearance has only increased other school's urgency. We know Cam Newton ('s Dad) was shopping his son, primarily among those schools and schools like Mississippi St were offered a discount because of a previous relationship with Cam at Florida.
It is in that environment that Ole Miss is now thriving with an unprecedented recruiting haul - cplor me skeptical, that is all.
I'm saying everyone cheats, and I wouldn't be shocked to hear about anyone doing it no matter how much, how little, or when... I don't think Oregon just instantly started getting all those elite guys from Texas because of their uniforms. We all ready the story about Miami and how they were doing it. If you think it's just a few schools you are sadly mistaken. I think OSU has cheated just as much as anyone else but I don't care because when we are watching games, no one is thinking about that. It's not the kind of issue that the NCAA has ever had a handle on so I don't waste my time getting my panties in a bunch about it. It's been going on forever, who really cares. Who's to say any of those players will pan out. OSU has some of the most powerful boosters on the planet, I'd care less if they paid for a few players. Doesn't affect my life one bit... Just win some damn ball games! I hope someone in the SEC West can dethrone Alabama and LSU. I'm tired of seeing those 2 in the limelight.
I understand the skepticism but don't you think that people were skeptical of us once UFM took over and flipped like 4 players within 2 months? All I hear from scUM fans is how he cheats. Have they or anyone else proved that? Hell no... We thought UFM was a cheater when he was at UF and he took a few guys from us. Now that he's on our side flipping guys he can do no wrong. I'm simply saying that I don't care what other schools do because I think they all have some dirt and skeletons in their closet. Hell... we've had former players on this site admit to staff here that there is always things going on behind the scenes with boosters/agents and what not so I'm not skeptical because it seems normal to me. Until the NCAA can actually police it, it's a pointless argument.
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
The Urban comparison isn't a good one. Everyone (national news media, other coaches, HS players) knew Urban was a home run hire who achieved Rock Star status in the profession. This once in a generation coach was taking over one the biggest and most tradition-rich programs in the country. He then proceeds to flip 3 in state kids (one of which OSU never recruited in the first place) and one out of state kid.
None of those things apply to Mississippi unless you think having a couple Manning's attend your school and a movie made about a player makes it a power house.
All of these discussions are 'pointless arguments' when you get right down to it.
Good point, but cheating in college sports recruiting is a widespread issue in all conferences. It's not just the SEC! Regardless of how you look at it, everyone has their hand in the cookie jar to some extent. There is too much money in college athletics not to try and get an advantage.
