Have you? Nope i doubt you played any sports.
Plus, I don't know what playing Qb has anything to do with one pain tolerance but whatever. If it hurts, fall to the ground then let the ball go. Can't be that soft to just let the ball go and then come back into the game.
Hold on to that
Disagree Alpha, not sure if you've ever popped, hyper extended or hurt your knee before...no matter how mild the damage..when it goes the pain/feeling that rivets through your body makes you forget everything else sometimes. Natural reaction is to grab the leg. I'm not bashing Brax on this one.
@Personally_Foul: It's officially #FuckNebraska week. How do you castrate a Nebraska fan? Kick his sister in the mouth.
Has anyone seen jackass 3D when bam sucker punches people in slow motion? Watch the victims hands right after the blow. The move right up to the head to protect it. It's an involuntary response, just like what brax did after he landed completely awkward on his knee. He reached down to grab it. It has nothing to with someone's pain tolerance. I think people that have no fucking clue about the human body should take a step back before they make claims about something they know nothing about.
I am pretty sure when something like that happens the pain takes over and you dont think. Thats why he let go. I am pretty sure the thought didnt go through his head to just throw it out of bounds.
Nebraska fans are the classiest in the Big Ten and it's not even close (well, amongst the relevant teams ... never had a problem with an Indiana football fan either, ha). So, I'm not going to denigrate their entire fan base based on a few knuckleheads on message boards. But yeah, those posts are disappointing. Anyone who's watched Braxton knows he's tough. When you think you've just suffered a serious injury, you lose focus on everything else. Braxton's knee injury LOOKED serious and I'm sure it scared the shit out of him. Kind of like Santonio Holmes yesterday who did the same thing. (Maybe it's a Buckeye thing, I don't know.)
Nebraska fans would take Miller over Martinez in a heartbeat. They would beg for it.
Alpha, you've been one of the most-improved posters on our site. You just took about 30 steps backwards in this thread.
It is a scientific fact that drinking water from Nebraska can diminish or eliminate one's ability to think.
As someone else pointed out, did Willis Mcgahee just toss the ball away off the Will Allen hit?? Which you would agree was about 10x worse?

You don't get it. Just because one guy held on to the ball while suffering a catastrophic injury doesn't mean that's the norm. You see it all the time in football. Did you miss Santonio Holmes yesterday? That's one tough SOB I'm sure you'd agree. He dropped the ball because most people lose focus on everything else when they think they've just suffered a serious injury.
Might be time for some lab work. Who's in for a little experiment? We'll give Alpha a football to hold, we'll break his leg and see if he hold on to the football! All while running at full speed. Let me get some insurance/liability documents signed and we should be ready to roll.
Difference is, Holmes was carried off the field which meant is injury was serious. If that happened with Brax, I promise I wouldn't be saying this.
Was it painful? Yes
Was it a serious injury seeing that he came right back into the game? Nope
This may hurt my argument but your co host D Stanley when you visit 97.1 is also saying the same thing. Never drop the ball.
I will pay to see that experiment! I bet Alpha is too "soft" to agree to it.
I watched the Wisconsin game and the crowd looked like it was still in 1985.
post of the year.
Some of you us must have been all American's. Maybe he thought his knee was down.
NO ONE WILL EVER TAKE THESE BIG TEN CHAMPS 2005, 2007, 2007 AWAY COACH TRESSEL, GOD BLESS
