We gain a commit..and we drop 2 places...behind Scum as well...so what the hell? haha

I think composite wise the other 3 sites don't have Corey Smith rated high at all. Never fear, once Poggi decommits and we land one more we will finish ahead of them. I know rankings" don't matter" but THIS does matter when it comes to Meeechigan! LOL

Team ranking philosophy on all these websites = website administrators, ping pong balls with team names, liquor, and random intoxicated dares to see fan reactions.
We moved up two spots to 2nd on scout.
I checked Rivals, Scout and junk ESPN, Smith is a 4* with each service. There must be a glitch at 247.
I ONLY pay attention to Scout. ESPN sucks, 247 seems like they really aren't completely clued in, & Rivals is affiliated w/ Yahoo, meaning they are good at web searches and results, but not so much at recruiting rankings IMO.
Hes still the number 11 Juco player and a 4 star looking at the composite score.
I look at all, but I also form my own evaluations too. These "scouts" have more resources and time than I do, and they are a great starting place. With that being said, I won't get hyped about a recruit until I see some sort of footage to back me up.
I have watched recruits, and I have said, "Dang!" only to be wrong. Ex.) Jamaal Berry
I thought his tape showed great burst and acceleration. Due to injuries and off-the-field issues, he never reached his potential here.
I have also seen footage of a player, and I have said, "meh..." only to be pleasantly wrong.
The fact is, every single site brings a different perspective to the table. It is a business, and they will disagree/stir the pot to promote business. But at the end of the day, to say all of the services aren't clued in seems a little premature to me. I think you just have to form your own opinions sometimes about what the "experts" are saying.
