Oversigning.com....... Talks about why he started it (a Saban quote), the difference between the BIG and the SEC rules on oversigning, etc...
Oversigning has long been one of the controversial topics in college football. Recently, it's become one of the most talked about, too.
It is so easy a fix, one has to wonder why the NCAA does not take a stance and prevent the scholarship limits being abused. We are talking about full grown men, each one of them millionaires, playing games with a 17 year old kids future. It is a sleazy way to operate, easily abused by unscrupolous men running their football business.

Really no explanation why the NCAA doesn't fix this. This, coupled with the lack of penalties handed out compared to other conferences is a bit strange. Doesn't seem to be too much "deep" investigation into SEC teams. Remember the Cam Newton stuff? They had a "verdict" very quickly so he could play in the NCG.
Oversigning.com, even if it's current information is somewhat outdated (i.e. 2011), is still a very interesting read. I am a firm believer that ALL of the conferences outside of the SEC should start applying pressure to the NCAA to do away with the loopholes that allow this practice. For all of us who have seen the advertisements, during the NCAA tournament, you know the ones, "we're the NCAA, think of us as a cheer squad for the athletes". This is the highest form of bullshit and simply exposes the willingness of the NCAA to ignore anything that happens in the SEC, so that they can remain "The #1 conference in football". And of course, ESecPN doesn't help by refusing to acknowledge any of the misdeeds of the SEC. Until someone in the system turns the air blue, about the practice, it will not stop, SEC student athletes will be shit on, and the SEC will remain #1 in college football!
Agree... I would think this could be solved pretty quickly. Imagine if all the BIG , ND, all Pac12, Big12 and ACC schools told the NCAA "We are leaving the NCAA unless this stops, period"
I have yet to see the advantage to belonging to the NCAA versus having all the schools be involved with participants on a ruling entity. Schools do all their own budgeting, scheduling, etc. The largest money maker is college football and it doesn't even have an NCAA championship, never has. The NCAA is like the vulture scavenging off road kill, they are just around with their hand out collecting money while they say "We're cheering for you"... Yeah right..
