I've found pimping to be easier than one might expect
If Shaka really goes to Minny it is good for them and the conference. However success in the B10 will come a lot harder than it has in his present situation. As for Collins to Northwestern other than an infusion of youth I am not sure they have any better coach than they previously had. Only time will tell but my projection is that Shaka never finishes higher than 4th in the B10 and Collins in 10 years will have not better record if as good a record as Carmondy.
Must not have been a done deal, Shaka taking extension at vcu after turning down ucla.
Minny just got Malzahnned.
Boom Shaka Laka.
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
that's never gonna work
Big spray fart!!!!
JD all good bro it must have been close or minny used as leverage
My bad, I thought I had good info but Shaka was playing the game. Hope it's Flip Saunders now.

Sarah sorry about the Herpes.
Bruins down to unemployed volleyball coaches now.
Time to find some new friends!!!!!
Flip is 58 years old, hasnt set foot on a college campus in 30 years, and played for Mussleman whose tenure was a disgrace.
Other than that he would be a home run.
If he is tabbed which I doubt he better land the big 3 in the class of 14.
I guess I put too much faith in what you were hearing.
I hope not. I hope they finally get their act together and land both a big time football coach and basketball coach.
Minnesota will never get a big time coach. If they do its just a stepping stone like Saban did to MSU
Shaka's going to have a hard time in Minnesota just like Tubby. First, Minnesota is a frozen Arctic tundra wasteland and nobody wants to play that far north for college basketball. Hockey, yes, basketball no. You know why because the Big Ten has good point guards and very good handling guards who are able to handle Shaka's press. Look at Michigan! Burke and Hardaway are very good guards but there are alot of guards who are able to handle the press.
That's why most coaches don't play press plus the B1G conference is physical. The players won't last season playing MSU and Wisconsin and the press as well. Alot of teams like Ohio State, MSU and Indiana thrive and simply want to play the fast paced games but the slow teams like Wisconsin and several other teams know this so they slow the game down just to keep it close. Chris Collins at Northwestern is a bad hire. Dukies don't do well as college coaches. Amaker's third job was at Harvard, he played a dope coach in Steve Alford who couldn't hack it at Iowa so he went to New Mexico.

Tubby seems a good person & coach and IMO if Minny was going to fire Tubby...they should have had an agreement with his replacement. IMO not wise for the actions of the Gopher Admin in handling this.
When OSU was firing Jim Obrien...simultaneously they were in contact and working out the details in hiring Matta....
