When everyone runs out...we run in. Support your firemen.
I agree that they are missing out on some playmakers but man I would love a few of those OLs
11 OL in 2 recruiting years...huge freaking mistake. I hope they take 6 more next year and have 17+ scholarship OL.

Still not catching the ever-contagious WHINE-FLU!!!
if Hoke doesn't like what he inherited for OL, then 11 in two years is not that bad, going for depth. odds are you bring in 11 OL, four or so are gonna be dominant. about 2/5 top recruits make a true impact. (I read that on here in another thread). Hoke's mistake is settling so early for his "playmakers" or skill positions just because they are from Ohio. Jake Butt, Ben Gedeon may be decent players but they aren't ELITE.
his lack of playmakers on both sides of the ball would be concerning to me, again, his defense will be solid but not Elite, even with Mattison.
Joke needs to curb his obsession with the state of Ohio and landing all these kids so early, and it appears he is intent on gunning for a BIG 10 title, cause nothing he is doing screams I am trying to compete for the BEST players in the country or coach the best team in the country.
as I stated before Hoke's biggest problem is "premature commitjulation". he can't wait on the "right"kids

"premature commitjulation". ..................I think I have this same problem.
I agree. Hoke is flinging WAY too many offers. But it makes sense....he was at SanDiego and Ball St.....he used to have hard-ons for 1&2 star players...It hasn't registered yet, hes at a top 20 program...Urbs on the other hand? Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.....Every point of comparison between Urbs and Hoke, Urban makes Hoke look like a rube.
I thought I read that Hoke offered a Tackle from Canada I shit you not.
This is after Dawson re-commited too.
Well you know uhhh, we couldn't run the ball uhhh against Ohio uhhhh so we need to recruit uhhhh 13 OL in 2 yrs and that will uhhhh solve all of our problems uhhhhhh.

And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
Didn't Duane talk before about the washout rate being higher on the offensive line than any other position? Perhaps Hoke isn't so sold on some of his commits after watching them in practice or what not.
I'm making this up as I go along.
That has to be what it is.
What's wrong with Hoke loading up on offensive linemen - just like OSU is loading up on D-linemen ???

Last I checked they weren't going to be rotating their OLineman in and out of the game like DLineman are.
Where have I heard this before.....
"Great Offenses win games, Great Defenses win championships"
This will ring true.... (and has for the last 6 years... )
Seth I have been meaning to tell you...thank you for your service..I wish you nothing but the best! God Bless
So far we have 6 DL in this class, and 4 in last class. That's a lot, but we're losing three starters on the line in one graduating class with Williams, Hankins, and Simon.
Michigan has two juniors and three seniors starting on the Oline. I would actually say that 11 isn't a bad number at all, but going up several more might be a bit much.
I think the fact that he hasn't gotten players at other positions he needs is significant, but I'd be surprised if the OL he's taking is what bites Hoke in the ass.
