Would be nice to see them kick some ass in the sec just to see esPn talking heads try to rationalize it.
They couldn't kick anyone ass in the Big 12. Let me know how that works out for them.
A&M is like Clemson, Va Tech or Auburn. They a few shimmers of history they've been trying to string out over years and years
they are kind of a joke. 9 Big 10 teams currently have more players in the NFL. No talent + no recent success = not a good plan
Aggy is gonna get ripped to shreds.
great student body but mediocre team.
Went to one of their games. Nice enough crowd, if flat-out weird traditions. My younger daughter went around asking alums what their rituals were about for a newspaper article, and most of the young'uns didn't even know. In fact, some of their old traditions are dying. The move to the SEC is probably going to kill what sense of tradition they still have. They weren't so much as attracted to the SEC as they were repulsed by the U.Texas at Austin creation of the stupid, insipid "Longhorn Network." And being in Texas, they are more useful to the SEC than the SEC will be for them. It's a shame, really. I hope it works out for them, but.....
^^This. They are a tool for the SEC to expand to a greater extent into Texas.
Would be nice. They just won't, though. At least not in the foreseeable future.
AtM is on a downward spiral out of control. They will absolutely get owned in the SEC West. I predict they will BEG to get back in the B12 in less than 10 yrs. Bad fit. As bad as WVU to the B12. It just isn't going to work.
4 months later and look at Texas A&M go!!!!!!!!!!!!
This thread cracks me up. Sounds like ESPN brainwashed a lot of people on here.
I think not many people took into account how the hiring of kevin sumlin would affect a&m. I knew he'd change things for them. Didn't think it would be so quick.
A&M has a decent history of winning. It's been a good program for a century now. They have never been scrubs. This just makes the SEC deeper. It sucks.
