I have 2 sports movies that inspired me.
1. One on One (mid 70's)- The story of a midwest hick basketball recruit (Oklahoma) that defined conservative at least in his ways of doing things. He goes to college to a fantasy world UCLA and discovers big city things like sex, drugs and rock & roll. Se soon fall out of the coaches graces as he thinks he is a hot dog. He brings in a football linebacker to rough him up in a practise to teach the others discipline (like don't respond when you get a elbow to the head) and having him run miles and miles after practise to get him to quit. Well then the big national TV game comes and the 2 players ahead of him get hurt and the coach has to put him him. The coach tells him to stay away from the ball. We in the end he takes over the game and leads the team back to a victory. After the season the coach talsk to him about the next season and he responds up your with a red hot poker. I can play ANYWHERE i want next year.
2. Hoosiers - the great underdog story of Indiana basketball small city champion.
Isn't Rudy in prison for stealing millions of dollars from a fake investment fraud.
Don't think he's actually in jail now but I know he was involved in the fraud you're talking about.....Update...just read he had to pay back 380,000 restitution to stay out of jail.
Friday Night Lights is top 2 in sports movies, imo. Along with Hoosiers.
Wait just a second.... What do you mean by that
The RANT is a Romper Room for Degenerates - jwe
