Meyer slowplayed the gaggle of wr/ath type recruits in this weekend because he had word that Chip was gone.
Can that be proven/disproven.
I think it is valid.
Mort from ESPN is reporting discussions just heated back up bt Kelly and Eagles on Monday so I'm not sure that's the case but certainly plausible.
it is actually a very interesting thought
Decent thesis, but why would we have offered Preister, Clark, and Smith all of recent if Meyer had word Chip Kelly was gone?? I think Taivon Jacobs "looking" around might have brought some ? marks to the surface. I know he told BK he was 100% but we have all heard that before. We have a lot of WR/ATH offers on the table and a good majority have came within the new year.
Eddie George, Simply the best
You're completely right. These offers would make no sense if Meyer knew. Oregon did not know. This happened pretty quickly. I think recruits are pretty stunned right now.
Cleveland Orchestra Baby!! World's greatest!! The Brown's wet dream is to be them. The Ohio State University-Where the Illibuck Lives!
"Interesting", but if we had gotten Quick or Gibson, or both, Wilson and Carrington would be on the outside looking in.
Your'e absolutely correct. He's tight in some NFL circles and may have been given a heads up on this move.
