If you guys think the problem is simply oversigning I have a virgin named Jenna Jamison I want you to meet... So if we allow oversigning, the iowas, minnesotas, Indianas, Illinois, Rutgers, marylands will get so sign 5 extra 3*'s? Yeah, that will catch them up to sec schools...I've done zero research, but I'd bet my next pay check that after osu and scum, their average star ratings are higher across the board.
I'm not saying oversigning doesn't matter
he wouldn't let his players pose in the Playboy All-American magazine edition, he said, "Cause you can't play football with an erection."

Look, everyone has a valid point even though I might not agree with it. I know we are lucky to be a OSU with Meyer, look where we were headed before he was hired. But let's be realistic, whatever the current coaches are doing, it's not working nor good enough. Look how the fortunes and the perception changed after Sumlin was hired and won at TA&M. Kids don't want to go to Iowa because their program and their coach suck. Winning breeds winning and is a direct result of recruting...and Meyer says it's an embarrasment in the B1G right now. I trust his judgement.

Good teams have been coming out of the woodwork as long as I can remember, and I'm 71. The one common denominator has always been a dynamic head coach with a good staff. Until recently, B1G schools have held onto older coaches, hired older retreads, or moved assistants up. A good sign is the recent signings of younger coaches that have proven themselves as head coaches at lower levels. I am one of those who believes these coaches should be given a chance. They are not Ron Zooks, they got to where they are by hard work and good records somewhere else.
Let's see which teams with newer coaches start or continue to improve this year - Illinois, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana, Minnesota, scUM, PSU....
Unfair to include OSU - different planet.
And let's see which teams with established staffs digress -Iowa, MSU, Neb, NW....
My money is on Illinois to make the most progress and on Iowa to remain stagnant or digress.
