Original thought from 'Typical Big' is most will look at this as who wins the game -
however we can obviously see the gap between 'The others' and the SEC is not that big from how the games turned out today.
Good points from The Dude ...as 2 of the top B10 teams are sitting at home and we every other team was mismatched according to the experts.
6-1 against the spread is good.
End of day- those will only remember the wins and losers.
an average Michigan team took top a 10 team to final possession...
an unrated Wisconsin team did the same thing with sixth rated team.
Nebraska ...from what I saw was playing on par with SEC's second best and top 5 team until the turnover later in second half.
I thought it was only 1 level up?
Happy New Year....
Your post is more rant than logic.
Do you always expect the team with a ranking 6-20 spots below its opponent to win?
No, I just expect this conference to show better than it has in big bowl games(i.e. New Year's Day and BCS bowls) and they have consistently disappointed. I don't think that's a rant, it's just a fact. It places too much pressure on the top team in the conference(OSU) to be perfect every year when the rest of the conference is so bad under the brightest lights.
Happy New Year to you as well

You have to remember that on a normal year OSU and Penn St. would have been in bowl games leaving the other teams to play in different games.

In what should be a normal year the Big 10 would send 2 teams to BCS games. I don't think sliding down 1 game would have made any difference. We don't have anyone else in the conference who would have been better than Michigan against SC, we don't have anyone else who would have beaten Georgia.
