LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On a day when media reports identified Charlie Strong as the leading candidate for the vacant Tennessee job, there was a quiet confidence here that the third-year head coach will remain with the Cardinals.
Charlie Strong guided Louisville to a 10-2 record and a berth in the Sugar Bowl. (AP)A decision from Strong on his future could come as soon as Wednesday, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Multiple sources who spoke with Strong on campus Tuesday said he seemed committed to staying with the Cardinals – through the Sugar Bowl and beyond. They expect him to coach Louisville in 2013.
"Unless he's the greatest poker player of all time, I don't think he’s going anywhere," one Louisville source told Yahoo! Sports

Woody and Archie.................................. Alex being Alex, ....................................and Woody at Dennison
Well that's a shot in the nuts in the recruiting race for Quick...
How about Strong to Wisconsin? Let's start that rumor.
Well that's it with Quick. I would still be concerned if I were him leaving if I were him after this year.
I'm sure Urban has played that card, hopefully the kid recognizes it.
Honestly I still think we get Quick. Judging by the way the visit went and his quotes afterwards I think were looking good with him regardless of what Strong does. Not to mention the fact that theres rumors of a silent commitment to us (not saying they're true but the fact that their out there say's something).
This too shall pass...
I don't look anything into reports like this. Of course he is not going to tell anyone until the deal is inked with Tennessee (if he is going there). This happens all the time with coaches, i.e. nobody expect BB to leave Wiscy yesterday, Urban's denial of the tOSU job the week before he was hired, every other high level coaching hire... some are better kept secrets than others though. I don't think Tennessee made a bowl but Lville did, he has a team preparing for the bowl game if he wasn't leaving he would have already came out and said that publicly, I am sure its like the elephant in the room at practices and team meetings until it is addressed, has to be in back of everyone's mind. Besides why the hell would you stay at Louisville over Tennessee? If Tennessee wants him he will go and I haven't seen any other rumored coaches for that job. I would put money on a press conference to announce yet this week.
The trade off is Bell.
100% agree. Strong being hired by Tennessee would help with Quick but hurt with Bell in my opinion. Strong is a proven DC in the SEC and one would assume that would appeal to Bell and launch them back into the race.
I think we just need to trust Urban. Seems the staff likes our chances with both recruits regardless so I'm not going to get too hung up on the coaching changes and how it impacts our recruiting. I trust once the clock turned to zero in the Michigan game, UM went into 4th quarter Michael Jordan mode on the recruiting trail and is closing like no other.

Bell === #Rolltide
Probably miss out on both these guys, L'ville may give Strong a nice raise and theres Quicks reason for staying home. Bell drinks the SEC Bama Kool-Aid and heads south.
Both big losses in this class, we need these two big time.
Hopefully I'm wrong
Tennecheat and Wisc open at present. I think both are better jobs than what Strong has. BUT, I don't see him leaving for either one.
Never count Urban out.
