Rod Smith has a ton of ability. He has good size to be a power back but coupled with athletic ability and speed. Problem is he fumbles and has no vision. What good does having ability do when you get tackled in the backfield and fumble the football.
I hope he transfers to a school who can feed him some reps that he needs.

I remember one year when Iowa was down to their fourth or fifth TB and were still winning games. So ours had better be ready. Just look at this summer - we almost lost two.
Anyone know about his receiving ability?
With Smith's size I wonder if Meyer may try to get creative with Smith --- perhaps using him as a halfback or even lining him up as a tight end or wide receiver. Could create the mismatches Meyer strives for.
