Don't mind playing Syracuse, but fighting the Zebras as well??
Phantom 2nd foul on Sullinger
Phantom foul on at least 4 OSU players immediately after Sully left the game.
Phantom basket Interference.
None of these were even close, with all being incredibly obvious blown calls without replay and firing offenses after replay. No comment what-so-ever from either Raftery or Lundquist. Then after all that Ravenel gets hammered across both arms and Raftery downplays the contact.
Oh...and add the PHANTOM DOUBLE DRIBBLE!!! COME ON!!!!!
OOOHHHHH MMMMYYYYYY GGGGOOOODDDDDDDD! Craft is thrown to the floor 3 feet in front of a Zebra and NO CALL??? NOW THEY SWALLOW THEIR WHISTLES????? I AM ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree. Would type more bit too into game
Its pretty terrible that we see these beyond pathetic foul calls in the Elite 8
We are coming for you Bama!
Interesting. Just had this same conversation with my wife. I am utterly mystified by these 3 calls. Effin mystified.
I want to choke them. It is such bullshit. The foul on the missed layup right after Sully went out was a joke too. The kid missed stepped when he jumped and the rim knocked him down
Yea, these phantom fouls are keeping them in the game and are pretty terrible, especially Waiters missed dunk. NO ONE touched him... wtf?!?
Let the players play. This is to go to the Final Four!
Thats the phantom foul on the four guys I was talking about. 4 friggin guys stood there and watched him go to the rim, watched him stumble, and someone - it's still a mystery to me - is called for a foul. I guess THINKING MISS IT! MIIISSSSS IIITTTTTT is now a foul.
As bad as the officiating has been in the tourney (and all season, for that matter) it seems like the announcers are deliberately analyzing the game the way it's been called without getting into the bad calls. It's probably a good strategic move by CBS, but they have to be pulling their hair out with some of these badly missed calls, just like the rest of us.
Are these the same refs that screwed over UNC Ashville?

Maybe. I agree that they are likely told not to create waves by mentioning obvious blown calls, BUT, like operating on the brain when someone is there to have a hernia repaired...someone...ANYONE say SOMETHING!!!!
Something big has to come down after the season (most likely uncovering some sort of gambling ring). If you watched L'ville today, Petrino spent much of the second half with the officials completely in his head. It's bad enough when they affect the ten players on the court, making them adjust to calls they haven't seen since their Jr high days. But when the coaches don't know whether to yell or cry, and it's all because of the completely inconsistent calls from game to game, ref to ref, and minute to minute, something big has to be done.
OK - just saw the double dribble on Craft, CALLED FROM BEHIND, where the view was obscured. Turrible.
refs suck big time. OU got hosed too. Fing joke.
I am glad to see comentary on the officiating tonight. I was going wild in the first half. Obvious missed calls tend to concern me but phantom calls just send me through the roof. And while I admit to bias it did seem that most of these phantom calls were made against us. The officiating throughout this year's tournament has left a lot to be desired and hopefully has been weeded out for the Final Four.
best case of officials making themselves a part of the game by calling everything. made for a bad game to watch with all the stoppage. and this for both teams.
the 2nd foul on sully should cost that guy his job and the next one on us when they missed the dunk and called a foul on us and the guy was untouched again. just freaking awful.
those 3 should never ref that big a game again.
I have to say guys this was the worst game I have ever seen officiated and been watching BBall since 1987. This was horrible. However, it was not one sided. It happened on both sides. Neither team could have lost and complained because there were horrible calls against Cuse as well. The refs didn't do either team any favors. Obviously, we can argue that we lost Sully for 13 min in the first half with that horrible call, but they had more guys in severe foul trouble than we did. It was a wash. My guess is the refs bet the over.
A wash my fucking ass. Taking Sullinger out of the game for 13 minutes of the first half when we are up.
We would have BLOWN Syracuse out if they didn't have 8 guys on the court. They have always had 8 guys on the court.
Known to have the refs in their pockets because of the coach's reputation. Total Bull Shit..
Syracuse didn't belong in this game.
They were out played, and out talented, and out classed by our boys!
Give us Kansas, and we will do the same thing to them.
We shot 42 FT, they shot 25. We had 20 fouls called against us, they had 28. I will consider this a wash and if anything a slight advantage to the good guys. Any questions?
We did do a much better job of attacking inside than Syracuse did, which is more likely to draw fouls. Syracuse also had a lot of fouls over the last few minutes as they tried to slow down the game and give themselves a chance to climb back into it. We weren't fouling.
I agree that we did a better job. But there were questionable calls both ways. I honestly think it was a wash last night. The officiating was horrible and both sides had reason to complain about it.
The non call that got me was Craft being thrown to the floor with 14:25 jeft in the second half. The ref was 5 or 6 feet away and let it go. I watched the play over and over on my DVR, and still can't believe the ref let it go. Craft may have enhanced the fall to the floor a little, but it was too obvious a foul not to call.
how many of those calls against SU were with a couple of minutes left? answer: A TON
This is my view as well. They were horrible for both sides. Cuse fouled two guys out and had four with four fouls for a long time. We lost our point guard at the most critical juncture in the game and lost our best player for 14 minutes. Refs were horrid both ways.
I have a question. When did Syracuse qualify for the 1-and-1 and the double bonus in the second half. Answer: well before the Buckeyes. Another question. How many fouls were attributed to Syracuse trying to stop the clock. Answer; at least 6-7 I believe. (I think we hit 11/12 or 12/13 FT in the last minute or so.
