We have not heard it yet, but how good is the reporting when multiple news agencies let this story go on for a couple of years without checking the facts. They just see a good story and run with it, but don't do any work. They should be as embarrassed as Teo, but instead they are making more money promoting the embarrassment of Teo and ND. Let's hope they are going after the real facts this time. Who is this mystery girl? Someone was tweeting. If ND has been investigating since early Dec., how hard can it be to trace down this electronic trail?

What reason did the kid give anyone to thoroughly research his life, especially who his girlfriend was? I've been having as much fun as everyone else making fun of the kid, but the media is not at fault for not scrutinizing everything a 20 year old college kid does. He's kept his nose clean on and off the field, and gave no reason to suspect he was lying about anything. His team mates keeping things under wraps puzzles me more than anything... We are now hearing what a team mate had to say, but it is people like them that are at fault for letting him continue to live a lie.
you have to be kidding....the media chose to run the story about a 20yr old kid and his personal life. The minimum ethical and professional requirement is to ensure the claims are correct
Good lord! What reason did tOSU give anyone to look into us?????????? Yet we had writers tripping over themselves to uncover whatever dirt they could find.
If you are reporting news, the news should be accurate. The onus is on the reporter. If your most trustworthy friend tells you to inspect a gun and its safe, are you going to take his word for it or are you going to inspect it anyway??????
I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters.

The reason to look came out after the kids got themselves in trouble.... They weren't looking until the announcement before the Sugar Bowl etc....
Pete Thamel essentially admitted that he googled the car accident and looked for an obit and found nothing. Right then and there, he should have put a stop to the story until everything was validated.
As a result of this story, there's undoubtedly money involved somehow. That's what we are all goin to hear. Someone, somewhere, got suckered into sending these hoaxers money to their "foundation" for Lennay. Just wait, it will come out.
Thats simply not true. And it also illustrates our fans complete refusal to acknowledge that the problem was never the Tattoo issue.
What the writers investigated was Tressell. They also investigated tons of other things. Like TP's car and getting paid for doing appearances, etc...
They were all over Clarrett, they were all over Troy. They interviewed guys like Maldonado in the past. Anything to try to expose us. They have ALWAYS been trying to dig up dirt on us. I guarantee you right now there is a writer(s) trying to dig up dirt on our undefeated team and Meyer.
SIAP, I nearly pissed my pants.
