Aloha from Maui!!
Just flew in from Kauai where I met a fellow tOSU fan, (and who I also came to find out is a fellow Buck NUTTER!!!) We talked about how we knew each other's online personas, and shared some of our favorite Bucknut moments , talked about THE URB etc..... I LOVE the fact that we have the most rabid fan base in the business, that it is all over the globe, and that BUCKNUTS is a HUGE part of it!!!
Where are some of the coolest places where you have met fellow BuckNUTTERS??

Cruise ship in international waters. People saw my tOSU blanket and said O H! Buckeyes are everywhere.
Coyoungin on twitter. Circular square movement.
I met Steve Helwagen once. He gave me a field pass to take photos with my shitty camera @ Washington. Best time ever.

I've met and done business with mr. Bucknuts at his office in Dayton.
I told him I was a long time member of the magazine and website and he asked me what my username was and he said... Yeah I know you, but I thought that was one of biddles aliases.
Sorry bids the big man thought I was trolling as you...

My girlfriend and I were walking along Navy Pier in Chicago. We were having a debate about the best fans in sports (she's a Noles fan). I bet her dinner that if I yelled out an "O-H" I'd get an "I-O" back. She added a massage to the deal. I took it. I echoed my "O-H" down Navy Pier like a pro.....got 3 "I-O"s back. Best massage I ever had...
All over Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. And on Southwest Airlines back and forth 6 or 7 times a year. Can't walk anywhere on the Strip wearing anything OSU without hearing "O-H!"
To the best of my knowledge, I've never met a fellow Bucknuts member in person.
Maybe not actual Bucknutters as we didn't discuss on-line memberships, but fishing on the Kenai River. Aklaska, two summers ago at approx. 11:00
at night (still light) There were 4 fishermen including myself. None of us knew one another. The last one to show up had an OSU hat on. There was an OH and almost in unison there was three IO's. All four of us were OSU grads. One lived in Alaska, one lived in Colorado, One in Ohio, and I live in
Florida. We had a great evening of BS and catching sockeye salmon.
By the way, everyones bucket list should include fishing for salmon in Alaska. I, actually spend, every summer in Ak. Three months of fishing and
camping. I have a motorhome that I leave in storage in Anchorage and fly back and forth to Florida. It's 5400 miles from my house to Anchorage.
Did the trip three times, saw some nice country, but you can figure out the gasoline cost at 8 MPG. And 12 days of driving. And you thought the trip
to grandma's was long! If anyone wants some guidance on Alaska fishing trips ( not cruise-related) contact me. Been doing it for 8 years. Summers
in Alaska and winter in Florida. Can' do better than that
In Aruba.. walking down the beach.. I hear "O-H" from a group of people.. I of course shout "I-O" back.. Then several iterations of it until you get that uncomfortable feeling like "okay 13 'O-H-I-Os' is enough" (don't act like you don't know what I am talking about) The people around them were looking around like "WTF is going on?" .... Anyway on our way back from the walk, they come running up and give both my wife an I two ice cold Balshi cans. They seemed as if they had about 50 of them... EACH. (which explains all of the "O-H-I-O" calls) For those of who haven't been to Aruba, Balashi is the only "domestic" beer on the island. It was pretty cool...
Ahhh Aruba... I too met an osu fan in Aruba and I did the same thing. I was meet the paddock restaurant bar. Yes balashi is a decent beer. I won't a presidents club all expenses paid work trip to there in 2007 and Cancun in 2008. Awesome experiences. If anyone is headed down there head east to the far end of the island to a town called SanSan nicholas. Awesome time.
In the middle of Doha, Qatar of all places...at a shawarma restaurant. I was in an Ohio State polo. Older arab guy comes up and says softly, "O-H."
Turns out that was a class of '81 grad and his son is there now.
National President of the Sky is NOT Falling Club
This past summer I went on a short vaca to Chicago to catch a couple cubbie games and to go golfing. A buddy and I went to play 18 and were forced to play in a foursome to speed up play. Fortunately the two men were fellow Bucknuts members who enjoyed drinking beer as much as we did. Had a hell of a time
Shanghai, China and Hong Kong Airport but like most people I have met them all over the States. My son just got back from Europe recently and met some Buckeyes in Ireland and Spain.
The commisary here on base (Guam) I always rep the Bucks and he's always giving me the OH! everywhere we see each other haha
