If Jesus is available.....they need to take him.....because the Browns need a miracle! Go Browns!
I would not trade this pick up or down, unless its a deal you just can't refuse. Browns can't afford to be giving up picks with all the holes they need to fill, and they can be trading down since really need an impact player. Don't draft RB here, there are so many values in later rounds; just look at NFL rosters. I would put these 4 picks in the following order and see who falls to you.
1. RG3 (5% chance he is still there)
2. Blackmon (We couldn't get "Brayloned" twice, could we?)
3. Claiborne (Two very nice CBs is a thing of beauty)
4. Kalil (Not a big fan of picking this high when he would be playing Right Tackle, but you would have 2 great "Bookends")
As a Browns fan who attends several games a year I want some one who can put some excitement back in the stadium. Back in the day we had corners in Dixion and Minifield that brought excitement, and at the same time Langhorn and Slaughter brought excitement to the offense. (I know it takes a QB to throw it to them, I'll get to that)
So here is my pick. We have done the dirty work building the line (2 picks last year on D and Mack/Thomas on O), now its time to add the playmakers/excitment back to the team. I'd like to see either Blackmon or Claiborne with the first pick. Then with the second take either Kirkpatrick/Burflict for D or Alshon Jefery/Kendell Wright/Floyd (just guessing who might be there) for O depending on which side of the ball you go with the first pick. I want playmakers and attitude. Now with the first pick in the second round or maybe even the second first round pick is where I see the wheeling and dealing to start. Every year some team tries to trade back into the lower first round or high second round by giving up a 2nd this year and a 1st next year. If the Browns can pull off something like this to get an additional first next year and an additional second this year I think they make the trade, they will then have the ammo they need to trade up to take the QB they like next year plus have playmakers in place when said QB gets here.
In the middle rounds I'd like to see a RB or 2 plus a few LBs to develope and play special teams.
I think they can add a quality O linemen plus a quality D lineman in free agency to address the remaining weakness on the lines. The more I annalize things the more I think they might actually have a plan for the first time in about 15 years!!!
Browns absolutely need to be thinking offense only for each of their 2 first round picks and their 2nd round pick....with that being said I want
I am so hoping the rg3 is there so a desperate WAS and miami get into a bidding war to move up. Then I hope that Blackman is still there. Lets see what Colt can do with wr's that can get open. I think with the second first rounder you can go either oline or Defense.
north till ya smell it, west till ya step in it.
There is chatter out there that they are looking at free agent Matt Flynn from GB and possibly Kevin Kolb from AZ (if AZ doesn't pick up his contract). If that were to happen, we can spend our first round picks on building talent around the QB spot.
I also listened to a local radio show this week where they were talking to a Browns beat writer who said he wouldn't be surprised if the Browns traded down a few picks to get more picks...because they need help everywhere.
