Washington (Hankins would have, perhaps Simon)
Miller, but not at QB under a Saban coached team
Maybe Jack Mewhort?

Keep in mind OP said 2013 not 2012. Roby and maybe Washington. Shazier maybe. Spence seems too small. We could be wrong, but this shows how wide the gap is. Brax would start for most coaches I think, but Saban likes a more traditional QB.

Op said 2013 and Hyde still wouldn't start.
he wouldn't let his players pose in the Playboy All-American magazine edition, he said, "Cause you can't play football with an erection."
Yes. Talking about the next season not this championship Bama team.
I agree. The point of this thread is to build some consensus and reality around the gap between where we are and where we need to be.
Where we need to be is in the ballpark of 50% of our lineup would start for them. We are in the low 20% range now based on responses.
Roby, shazier, Braxton for sure you know how much saban wanted him out of highschool..
Not many, if any. Bama's team is STACKED. In a few years we can talk, but right now I'm not so confident in even naming one except Braxton. He would start anywhere around the country at some type of position.

And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
You guys are delusional about Boren at fullback. If they would of put him at his natural position of MLB when he was a freshman, he would of been one of the top LB'S in the country. Look at what he did with 6 games without playing defense his whole entire college career. Zach took one for the team unlike how they treated his father. That's why he went to ichigan. Tress recruited the wrong guy (Storm Klein) at LB instead of Boren. It just took Urban to figure it out. Go Bucks.
If Braxton wouldn't start at QB, he wouldn't start anywhere for Bama.
I dunno. He's an elite playmaker. You would think they would find a position for him somewhere. They didn't offer for nothing...
Hankins, Simon, Washington, Shazier, Howard, Roby, and maybe Johnson at safety as he was playing very well this year. Our front line was one of the best in the country. The back seven was the issue. The LBers were too young or not ready and the safeties were not playing well. The corners were fine.
On offense? Miller, Hyde, and maybe Fragel. Fragel and Mewhort played really well this year.

12-0>13-1. Perfect>Imperfect. Just saying. Ohio State was the TRUE 2012 National Champion.
We may have lost the battle......but not the war.
