I am all for letting players play...but there is a point at which you have to make it fair.
That non-call at the end of the call when Craft was driving was as bad as I can recall in recent memory.
National President of the Sky is NOT Falling Club
Damn right! He was practically mugged. These refs need to be accountable until the very last buzzer!!!
Well actually thry shouldn't have had the ball. The refs had to just let them play after the non tech foul on craft. What gets me is why did craft turn he ball over 2 times and miss all 3 of his shots in ot, many wihout passing the ball. Pass the damn ball! Yes he got fouled but his other play down the stretch (offensive play), is what cost them the game.
If this was payback for the 2002 title game, I'll gladly take it. Thank God they didn't swallow their whistle that night.
Craft got mugged 3 times in the last 30 seconds and not one of them was called.
The first one was after he stole the ball from Burke. Craft heading in for a layup attempt and Burke strips the ball out of bounds... except Burke came down across Craft's left arm to get the strip.
The second one was when Craft blew past Burke to launch the runner in the lane. Burke came in for the block from behind and got solid contact on most of Craft's arm.
The third one was of course the blatant contact on Craft's arm and body during the block that ended the game.
How can those officials blow so many calls, so badly, in such a short time, all against the same player?
The CHASE is on...
I agree with you totally. My complaint is he shouldn't have taken the shots. Pass it to thomas or Q or even smith at least once. But they did grow up today.
That wasn't the only one. Why the crying over the Craft foul as fragrant? Ridiculous but it allowed the announcers to excuse the certain foul at the end of the game as a make-up. Since when is it OK to commit a foul at the end of the game as if it should be OK to do it because, after all, its the end of the game. So what? They missed a foul on Smith's 3 pointer on the line too. He was fouled across the hand. Same old BS up there. That and that childish OHIO crap.
"Why not Arizona? Why not us? Why can't we win it all?''
I know you have seen plenty of basketball and judging by the points you bring in your posts I know you understand the game. But in this case you are dead wrong.
No official...and I mean NO offical is going to bail a kid out in the final seconds of the game when the kid is trying to force a shot into a double team. The contact was marginal at best...
