yep, it's played out better than I thought but I knew it would be the Stieber show and the rest. We'll see who's really hungry tomorrow going for placing.
not bad, I mean we looked terrible against Missouri in the National Duals, I was kind of worried but we showed up today, hopefully we'll show up tomorrow when it really counts. I'll take a close 4th place finish, this is a tough tourny.
Quentin is known as dangerous on top. He would pin his opponents while on top. He will hit banana splits.
So, I wouldn't be surprised if coaches told him to go neutral.
So far, tOSU is sending 9 wrestlers to NCAA. That's something that tOSU hadn't done before. The most they sent were probably 7 or 8.
They are waiting on HWT Kosta Karageorge. He needs one more win to grab the ninth place and a NCAA qualifying bid.
Bison, I agree with 100% But WHAT is the use of going neutral if you're never gonna shoot, I 'm just tell the ref it's over and save us all the suspense . you knew that Wright wasn't gonna do something stupid. My college coach would get all over us, we ran like hell, if we weren't gonna like crazy if we were down a point or two. " Losing by one or one hundred is still a lose". I wake up in a cold sweat even 45 years later when I have that nightmare of being in the wrestling room and having suffered a close lose where I fizzled at the end.
I even heard the announcers saying that the tOSU coaches were yelling at him to get going, it just didn't make sense to me.
Absolutely, we've done an overall great job of getting ourselves in a great position team wise, today is where you get yourself in great position for the next tourny, the big one, the big enchalada. I hope we come out ready to wrestle like we did yesterday, talents there.
Well, just to shown how mental I am , I'm gonna reply to my own post, but let's see if I know what I'm talking about:
125 no surprises there, Delgado will be on fire in the finals with the home crowd behind him & he's already beaten Mc. Delgado wins a close one. Triggas upsets Thorn to take 5th not bad. tough weight class
133 told you to look out for Graff, tough kid, could have easily gotten that td in the last few seconds to win it. Logan is just as strong as Ramos and a much better wrestler. he wins it 9 - 3.
141 wow, anybody else wonder what goes on inside Hunters head when he's up late in the match and starts to drift. Can't do the against Ballweg, he's not great but wrestles the whole time and has good balance. TD's, TD's, and more TD's, Hunter wins it 8 - 4
149 I don't want to say "I TOLD YOU SO" ah who the hell are we kidding , I love telling you that, Grajales going for 8th, ha,ha,ha and our kid knocked him down. Sueflohn and Ness will be a great match up. I like Sueflohn, good wrestler on the mat. Ian can beat the
Purdue kid, he's tall and lanky and not as strong as the rest of these 149ers, he's like Gonejales, ha, ha, ha
157 "Demas has Alton in the second round and that could bode well for him, he has to be really agressive and tire him out."
Ah, weedhopper, I saw that coming and if Welch wasn't so damn funky and twisty, Demas would be in the finals. It really bodes well for Demas that he's already in the top 6, very tough class, Silverbird will be tough, but TD, TD, TD, and get out quick before SB throws in the legs. Demas 4th. Oh yeah, did I mention Green was tough, OH YEAH! Welch beats Green, ties him up with those long legs.
165 Taylor is so smooth, I watched him match and thought, "this is like he's at practice and the bottom man has to let him do his thing".
Martin should take 7th place if he wrestles like he has so far.LaBlanc won't be easy but he can do it, Taylor in a walk.
174 this class was so tough the #1 seed is going for 8th place. Heflin blew it against Brown but came back nicely, He would have faced Munster who just lost to Storley and when he faced storley he wrestled the Heflin way, keep it close and get that TD. Blanton is a brawler and Heflin will beat him to take 3rd. A real battle for 1st but I like Evans, long lean and strong, a white Ed Ruth at 174.
184 Magrum must have read my post because he's followed it like it was a script, I think all the other wrestlers that are left are too strong for him, he takes 6th place, Ruth runs all over Lofthaus.
197 Shoulda, coulda , woulda been Camp if he would have even taken 1 shot in the 3rd period. Oh well, he should beat Gonzales, this could be the most boring match of the whole tourny. He'll go for 3rd but most likely get 4th , Burak will out work him, Wright wins.
Hwy. Karkeinkdkenose did good to win and get 9th place and a spot in the NCAAs, who knows, he may get a pt or two for the team, Nelson wins it, he's tough and strong but mostly smart.
So there's my wrap up, and judging from most of your comments, youse guys were right on point too! i think we'll finish 3rd teamwise.

Hope your correct, that would be a pretty good finish for the bucks.
I was mistaken. They did send 9 wrestlers to NCAA in 2009. However, they haven't sent 10 as far as I know. Kosta may push the team record to 10 after a win today.
They can do it, they all have the talent, it's just about wanting it and then doing it. Except for Magrum, ( all those dudes are better than him ) the rest can hang with whoever they face IF they wrestle.
Most of our guys are at or a little above where they were seeded and that's what it's all about, finishing higher than you were seeded. Ian is a good example, the worst he can do is finish 2 spots higher than what he was seeded, that helps the team. That's why these guys need to finish strong, higher than what you were seeded.
delgado is very tough on his feet. Logan next,,,come to play!!!
My mood for the day would change if we could get a couple of pins in the next two matches.
