going into the NCG?
So, another topic - I am about ready to pop with all the recruiting craze.
I am saying if we can get 2 of the 6 WR's and Skipper we are golden.
25-0 sounds like the making of an epic thread
I was just thinking that. UFM has a chance to do what no other coach has ever done. Question for all my brothers out there: If UFM does run the table to be 25-0 who will be play the NCG and will we win? I do realize he is just starting to put together "his" type of recruiting classes, that said, we are set up real nice next year.
Would be amazing
The only thing better would be going 26-0 and beating an SEC team in the championship game.
I think after next year Urban will be 26-0.
Just because Ohio State could or should win all its games in 2013 doesn't mean it will. Remember that a team with a 90% probability of winning each of 12 games has a 28% chance of going undefeated, not 90%. That's because all 12 independent outcomes have to occur a certain way, meaning the math is .90 x .90 x.90 etc...

Interesting stats. Where did it come from ?
Simple statistics. Multiply the individual game win probabilities together to get undefeated season probability. In the case given. 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 = 0.2824. However, there are a couple caveats.
1) After every win the odds of an undefeated season become greater. So after Buffalo and SDSU (should be gimmes at home) the odds are 34.86%. If still undefeated after Cal and Florida A&M the odds become 43.05%. etc.
2) I truth we have different probabilities for winning each game. We are not uniformly 90% likely to win each game. So it's all conjecture.
Edit: The most recent info I've seen seen is that the Bovada Sports Book has us at 17/2 (11.76%) of winning the NCG (13-0). 3rd best in the country behind Bama and Oregon.
