ok, so as most of us know tsun board has the thread about us being left with scraps at o-line. I would like to ask the question is it worse to be left with scraps at 1 position, or get you ass kicked in your own state? and let me say first off I in now way think we have scraps on the o-line. the scum board is in meltdown right now, as they all know that there is not a whole lot of talent in ichigan anyhow. they feel they are even because they got ferns. little do they know booker is all buckeye.
This is so funny! We definitely need to keep this thread going!
amen brother keep it real. those a-holes are sooo butthurt I love it
It's not just that we're taking all the best in tsun it's also that we're taking the best in Ohio and leaving them with scraps here and in tsun. Plus we're cherry picking the best in Georgia Cali texas and fla too that makes us so dangerous.
Could probably just title this thread "Will TTUN be left with scraps in 2014?"
Since it will cover their entire effort, having to go into "uncomfortable waters" trying to fill in for recruits they "knew" would be in AA....
It's really going to be interesting to see how Hoke approaches this, will he settle for lesser recruits to stay in his comfort zone midwest? Will he try to jump into the fray of going head to head with the SEC coaches? I will really wonder if you polled the top 100 recruits from Alabama, Louisiana, Florida and Mississippi how many of them could tell you who Brady Hoke is. Point being, could Brady sit in the living room after Nick Saban just left and have any chance at all?
I can see Hoke now ... "Uhh umm uhh, Damon, uhh ummm, why uh, did you ugh umm, commit to Ohio, ughh ummm, when uh you're supposed to uhhh ummmm commit uhh to Michigan. Ughhhhhh ummmm, you're from ughhhh Cass ughhhh Tech, you're not ughhhhh ummmm ughhhhh supposed to ughhh commit to ughhh Ohio ughhh.
And I shall rejoice in victory for another 365 days over That School Up North.
I was just thinking about a comment on a thread over on TTUN's board last week. Someone that must obviously be a guy that looks for the bright side of everything said that since Urban was having to work so hard right up until NSD, that he hasn't taken any time to look at 2014 kids while Hoke has been busting it on the 2014 class..... I would love to find that comment over there and revive that thread since Urban now has 5 commits and just one week after NSD he hosted a big weekend and nabbed 3 commits.
UM fans make me smile.....
I'd love to get the top 4 Michigan recruits by holding onto the ones we have and adding Malik and Harris. But....loooooong way to go. A lot can change.
Ha ha. Nice +1.
"Dorsey...under pressure...throws iiiiiit. Incomplete. The Buckeyes win!" - Keith Jackson
+ 1 great point here if hokey pokey cant hold down his home state he is in serious trouble, and could not agree with you more about urbs being a rock star in the south, ans there is no way hoke is going to be able to hold his own. just look at the awesome qb they just signed.
i swear urbs never sleeps, the man is relentless, back to back top five classes is going to pay dividends on the field big time your right I saw that same thread and almost crapped my pants laughing
That's exactly what ought to scare the shit out of Michigan fans...there is a long way to go. McDowell is here next weekend. Some huge names are here next weekend. If we can get 1-2 of the big boys coming next weekend I will be happy.
If OSU get the top Ohio kids which it is projected to get. MSU/OSU get the top 4 in Michigan. OSU gets Nicholson from PA and 3 studs from Illinois...who is Michigan gonna get in the Midwest?
I'd love to see Brady Hoke try to go national this year when they go 8-5 or worse again. The Honeymoon is over. He got his new coach bump and rode the hype after a SB win. OSU get nuked by the NCAA helped him as well.
Michigan is in trouble and some of their fans are seeing it. They have a huge recruiting weekend coming up. We will see how they do.
Coach, I'd rather win championships than play "Michigan Football"
No doubt the fact that Hoke’s home state recruits are being poached keeps him up at night. Already 5 out of the top 6 in-state recruits have committed elsewhere. That said, scum has always been able to recruit well nationally and will more than likely still end up with a very good class. If you thought for one second Urban Meyer didn’t have Hoke’s full attention before he certainly does now!
Exactly, meltdown is ON at the TTUN board. Between the in-state kids they usually have their pick of the litter and miss out on 1 or 2, this year they have missed out on 2 of top 5 and I saw they were saying that McDowell who is the #1 in Mich and a 5 star talent is on commit watch here next weekend.
If that happens, get out your popcorn!
Heres another thing to consider. MSU is beating their arse in Michigan on the next tier of recruits. They will also have their hands full with ND if they intend on going after other Midwest kids from states like Indiana/Illinois...Michigan has 2 commits in a relatively small class. They have a big recruiting weekend and if they whiff they are gonna be set back.
They have 0 momentum. none. McDowell chooses the Buckeyes and they might as well forget the rest of the Michigan kids...top 4 locked down with MSU and Wisconsin locking down 3 more of the top 15...ouch.
Threads like this shouldn't be VIP. They need to know how happy we are the Buckeye flag is planted in their crappy state!
I'm honestly surprised that UM doesn't have an in-state commit yet. Of the top 8-10, you have.
1. McDowell - National recruit, visiting tOSU soon.
2. Harris - MSU verbal, we know he's going to take some visits. FWIW, he's going to be at the MSU/UM game @MSU tomorrow night. (just providing an update in general)
3. Webb - tOSU verbal
The next 4-6 can be in any order really.
Chance Stewart - WI commit at QB. We'll see if that holds up with the new UW coach (committed originally to BB), but unlikely that either in-state school is going to offer.
Lawrence Marshall - tOSU commit
Deon Drake - MSU commit
Tommy Doles - UM/ND battle at this point. MSU hasn't offered, oddly enough.
Byron Bullough - MSU commit/legacy
Connor Hayes - From Traverse City (same town as Bullough), not sure his leanings
Not sure about Carl Fuller (#4 on the composite, no Big 10 offers though).
There isn't much talent in MI in any given year; about 6-8 4-stars max. There haven't been double-digit 4-stars since 2009.
If UM fails to land McDowell, they'd need to flip an already committed recruit to get more than 1 in-state 4-star. That's shocking to me. MSU has 3 (Kurelic projects B. Bullough as a 90-94 4-star, he's a 4-star on the composite), tOSU has 2, WI has 1 and there's only 2-3 left at the moment (depending where Fuller ends up in the rankings).
Just the info from our side of the fence. Carry on.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
And per Coach Coombs, "in Concrete"
Good days, bad days --- always a Buckeye. Time to begin the assault on the 2014 BCS National Championship
Succinct, and true.
They "Don't care" about the two we have, they aren't nearly as good as the other two, McDowell and Harris...haha...of course they aren't..
Now, if Urban gets the other two, we'll hear "They weren't M******N men, they don't fit Hoke's system...."....
Really can't wait to see where Hokey Poke tries to dip in to fill the talent he thought was his,
I like being able to rub their nose in it. What I don't like is for every M!ch!g@n player we take that is one less Ohio kid that can play for TOSU
Whats up with that OL commit they had?
not sure I know who you're talking about? Michigan only has 2 commits in this class; Ferns and the 3-star QB from VA they picked up over the weekend.
He's talking about the one that decommitted and moved to FL.
