Craft Leads OSU To B1G Title Game

  • When Nix and MSU could pretty much do any damn thing they wanted in that game. Sampson and Valentine kept the game close for the Spartans. I am safe to say they are MSU "homer" referees. Look at what fouls were called versus the Buckeyes versus them. Buckeyes committed mere touch fouls but they were not as egregrious in nature as the Spartans fouls were towards us. Spartans were pushing guys in the back on dunks over the back on offensive and defensive rebounds. Derrick Nix should have been fouled out of the game with his play.

  • Loved how Doug Gottleib just noted at the halftime of the CBS game that Iowa should have won last night, and ref TV Teddy Valentine gave MSU the win with bad reffing and cost Iowa a win.
    Good for Doug.
    Ref's did not do us a lot of favors most of the game as well, and we still lead most of the game and won.
    They call that hack on Nix, and a few other reach in fouls and clear over the backs on that thug, he sits most of the game an MSU does not have much offense.

  • Can someone please explain to me how an ultra-physical team like MSU can be called for 3..thats right 3..team fouls in the first 19:53 of the 1st half???

    The non-call on Thompson by Nix was just plain bullshit..I wouldn't have ejected him for the flagrant on Craft..but damn, if the refs would gain some kinda control in the 1st half then this bullshit would stop..I love Izzo and think he's probably the best in the business today..but our Bucks handled all adversity today and are peaking at the right time..thanks in large part to Craft

    I am worried tho about another scorer showing up because we have zero offense underneath..one more thing, PLEASE Coach Matta, can we design an actual out-of-bounds play..that remains pathetic and reminisant of 10 year old CYO basketball..SMH

    Kerr eluded to it most of our game broadcast, and Gottleib just noted Valentine cost Iowa a win.

    Jerry Palm probably has OSU as a #3 seed now behind Michigan and MSU.

  • Ted valentine is blind and all he wants to do is show for tv. The big should fire his butt. How can it take that long to see that was a flagrant foul...at least they got it right. That was a huge play no doubt.

    I watched it 83..and remain as puzzled as Gottleib..Iowa deserved the win..TV Teddy has to GO AWAY........

    And NFW does anyone with a brain have either MSU or UM ahead of us..but thats never stopped national idiots from being stupid before..hell, if all things are equal, then Wisky deserves consideration over certainly IU (12 straight losses, 5 in Bloomington)..and Michigan should be no higher than a 5 seed..actually I see the seeding being much like the Big 10 tourney seeding..IU a1..OSU a 2..MSU a 2 or 3..Wisky a 3 or 4..and Michigan smelling all our asses from behind

  • Someone help me please, was it two or three weeks ago that Aaron Craft was overrated, Thad Matta was not a big game coach, and we needed to get rid of the players we had and recruit better? What happened this week! We beat Illinois, we beat A poor Nebraska team and we beat a #9 ranked MSU team led by the greatest coach in Big Ten history. What else happened? Whomever voted for the All Big Ten team and the individual awards screwed Aaron Craft out of th e Defensive Player of the Year. I liken this to Jim Tressel who never was Big Ten Coach of the Year but won the NC. Aaron Craft finished second this year in the Big Ten but will win National Defensive Palyer of the Year. Nice job writers! Suck up to that Indiana mystique just like the refs do!

    Agreed!! I don't which talking head it way, but he mentioned it during the Memphis/So. Miss game. For the love of god, how hard is it to design an out of bounds play. It's not just Matta.

  • If Craft would have played the first 2/3rds of the season like he's played the last 3rd then i think this team only has 2 legitimate loses............first Illinois game & first Wisconsin game. Kansas game up for debate , but i think they get that 1 if THIS Craft had showed up.
