Craft Leads OSU To B1G Title Game

What happened this week! We beat Illinois, we beat A poor Nebraska team and we beat a #9 ranked MSU team led by the greatest coach in Big Ten history. What else happened? Whomever voted for the All Big Ten team and the individual awards screwed Aaron Craft out of th e Defensive Player of the Year. Nice job writers! Suck up to that Indiana mystique just like the refs do!

    Don't get me started on this bullsh!t COY voting and OSU's appearent inability to hire COY caliber talent-per said voters (assclown$???). COACHES who take care for their programs, like Tressel, Matta, & Urbs should be the GOLD STANDARD!!!!, NOT repeatedly ignored by the voters (assclown$???) of said awards. I must stop now (gotta go take a BP med.) perhaps the next time this issue arises, I'll be able to maintain myself, and finish my thoughts on this chickensh!t subject! ..GIVE ME MATTA AND MEYER ANYDAY-TWO OF THE BEST COACHES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SPORTS AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL!!!!buckeyes

  • Lamont Sampson and Teddy Valentine were at that game. Iowa committed alot of turnovers with their guards down the stretch but the refs were trying to give MSU the game. Again, how ultra physical MSU was in our game, they didn't get called for any fouls versus Iowa in their previous game.
    In terms of NCAA seeding, I really don't care if OSU gets a #2 or #3 seed. All I want is best favorable matchup for the Buckeyes down the stretch. Frankly, I don't care if OSU plays in either Dayton or Auburn Hills. Let me repeat! All I want is the best matchup for OSU in the NCAA Tournament.

    +1 I agree with everything in your post you other than the greatest basketball coach in B1G history has to be Robert Montgomery Knight and not Izzo. Knight had three national titles in 1976, 1981 and 1987. I thought Tressel at least won one coach of the year during his OSU tenure. Media has their love affair with the Flopiana Hoosiers and the BTN, ESPN and national media has chubbies for Floppy Zeller and Olacrapo! National media hates the Buckeyes in football and especially basketball.

  • I hate that they have to play later than the seedings because IMO winning this tourney is meaningless other than the trophy and confidence. I think the committee should be forced to wait until all games are played.

    I often wondered if they have two different brackets, I imagine they'd be pretty similar still, pending the outcome of the this game?

    This was by far your best line in the whole recap of todays Buckeye win. He hooks everytime he gets the damn ball. Drives me crazy. Ha Ha! Did you see some of the great calls our boy Teddy V made out there today. OMG he can be really bad.

  • Nix is a gorilla with a 10 IQ....he thinks he can just throw his fatass where ever he wants and push guys out of the way. He is a giant PUNK! I was so glad to see this win today. Izzo is the biggest whiney ass coach in the history of sports, almost as whiney as Crean is insane......GO BUCKS!....beat the badgers........!

  • I almost want to start a petition for the B1G to do itself a HUGE favor and force Valentine to retire. The guy is a joke. Just because he has built recognition for himself and has been around the league for a long time shouldn't give him free reign to preform his job so poorly.

  • I told my wife proir to the start of the game that MSU/OSU games recently have all been close nail biters and this game was no different! We were both emotionally involved in this game and she is originally from New Jersey. Aaron Craft was fantastic yesterday afternoon.

    Matta has been here 9 years, 7 Big Ten Championship games and now 5 in a row. I wish all of Ohio State's coaches (other sports) sucked as bad as he does. (tic)

  • Recognizing a "flagrant foul" is like the guy said when asked what was Pornography? He replied "I will know it when I see it".....well we saw it, and saw it a lot of it with MSU.....I think the 3 "MSU homered" refs including the lovely Teddy V, knew they HAD to call that one on Nix for the Craft. mugging! As far as MSU over Iowa, those 3 ref ought to donate their earnings to charity after that blatant display of partisian refereeing and bias toward the Spartans. They did not have the balls to ejuect NIX in that one or even call the flagrant foul. They jobbed Iowa! I don't know if you saw it on TV, but that little slimey skurge Izzo was whining to the referees every chance he had...we were wondering about what? He was getting every call and then ome!

    If Craft would have played the first 2/3rds of the season like he's played the last 3rd then i think this team only has 2 legitimate loses............first Illinois game & first Wisconsin game. Kansas game up for debate , but i think they get that 1 if THIS Craft had showed up.

  • Aaron Craft plays defense like he is the guys shadow. His quick feet and step around move on the high post screen are text book. I am so impressed with Coach Matta & staff and this team that has come together. When Ravenel hit the turn around baseline 12 footer I knew this was going to be a great game.

    I would like to give a shout out to LaQuinton Ross. Dude you are the silkiest player since Jimmy Jackson in my opinion. Take that shot all day long. If you get yours the rest of the team will get theirs.

    I have been a huge supporter of Thad & Staff and Craft and Thomas for their Buckeye careers. I can't help but think how good we would be if Sully had stayed around for one more season.

    CHICAGO -- "Michigan State point guard Keith Appling had a rough afternoon Saturday, but you would stumble around, too, if you had a man inside your head.

    Appling should have charged Aaron Craft rent. It was ridiculous. Craft finished with 20 points (on 13 shots), nine assists and four steals, and Appling shot 6-for-17, and these two stat lines were so obviously related. Michigan State wore special green and gold Nike uniforms for the game. Appling's came with puppet strings.

    "Mentally and physically, (Craft) controls the game," Ohio State assistant coach Jeff Boals said after the Buckeyes' 61-58 win.

    The remarkable thing is that Keith Appling is a really good player. He is more athletic than Craft. On Friday, he threw down one of the best dunks of the season, against Iowa. Appling is an outstanding defender, and he can get to the basket against almost anybody ... and it didn't matter."
